Mass reporting makes it easier for the ST to moderate, without it many people would see things that aren't allowed if the ST wasn't fast enough

Basically, if something gets reported no one else can report it?
No support. Mass reporting lets the ST know about bad content more quickly.

No support, it is very helpful if a moderator isn't online

Do you mean removing the auto censor for projects? If so, that’s rejected:

3.5 Remove the automatic project censoring system
The automatic project censoring system, with the accompanying temporary account block, is extremely useful to ensure that the community stays safe. Without this system, users who make inappropriate projects could keep making them without immediate consequence if a moderator is not online at the time. That would just expose more people to inappropriate content. While the Scratch Team is open to making improvements to this system, neither removing the automatic project censor nor removing the automatic temporary account block are the solutions.

Please read the official list of rejected suggestions: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/343602/

I would also recommend you reading the “stickie” topics (at the top of every sub forum, with the pin icon) so you know all important information about each sub forum. Thanks!

This post is a pretty good explanation of what mass reporting is and why it is necessary. Basically, “mass reporting” ensures that if a truly inappropriate project were to be reported by many people, it would be removed until a Scratch Team member could view it. If the project was found to be inappropriate, it would be removed, and if it was appropriate, it would be put back up.

According to a post from @Za-Chary here:
The automatic project removal and temporary account block system that is currently in place is extremely useful to ensure that the community stays safe. Without this system, users who make inappropriate projects would be able to keep making them, possibly without immediate consequence if a moderator is not online at the time. That would just expose more people to the inappropriate content.

We are open to suggestions for how to improve the system — feel free to make a new topic if you have any ideas. But we are not going to get rid of the automatic project removal system, nor do we plan to remove the temporary account block system.

semi support. i dont support it because reporting a project is if you think that the project is breaking the CGs/Community Guidelines and not because it is bad. But i support it so that innocent projects dont get taken down.

Thanks for that — closing as rejected.

This is my forum signature! On a forum post, it is okay for Scratchers to advertise in their forum signature. The signature is the stuff that shows up below the horizontal line on the post. It will show up on every post I make.

I was a Scratch Team member from May 10th 2019 to October 29th 2021.
