Project will not save

My browser / operating system: Linux, Firefox 68.9, No Flash version detected.

Ha! The first line was auto inserted. Interesting.

My point: Tinkering with Scratch editor (online) and several times, after loading a file into the editor, I received a “Project will not save” message box. Looked online for solutions - many and varied - with little to no joy.

I figured that I would try to load other files but was given the same message.

By accident, I tried using Google Chrome browser and bingo! No message. Then the testing started. I use Pale Moon, Firefox and Google Chrome browsers. Using several files; loading each file into the online editor using each browser to find a common fault. (Because I use Linux, I use Scratux as my offline editor, and does not have an issue loading and running the test files)

All of my test files ran without issue using Google Chrome. Running all the test files on Pale Moon and Firefox produced the error.

My conclusion: There is nothing wrong with Scratch. There is nothing wrong with the test files. The only thing that I have noticed is that, both Pale Moon and Firefox, use add blockers. Google Chrome does not.

I could be wrong. I am not a Browser or Scratch expert. But if anyone can present a more plausible explanation, I am what they say, “All ears.”

Go to "about:addons“ and click on the ”extensions" tab on the left, and turn off all your extensions and see if it works.

You're also using very old version of Firefox, the latest version is 89, and you're using 68. Type "about:preferences“ in the search / URL bar and press enter. In the search field that says ”Find in settings“ type in ”update“. Then press on the button that says ”Check for updates" and update Firefox to 89.

I am actually using the 64 bit version of 89.0

Project will not save

I had two extensions active: Add blocker and a Downloader
Both disabled and the error message was not displayed. Which confirms my earlier suggestion.

Thank you for your assistance and the time you have taken to help. Much appreciated.

You're very welcome! Do you mind if I ask a moderator to close this topic as it's resolved?
