Update 1/28: Wow! We have gotten so many volunteers that we're going to end this application period earlier. The new set of curators will start on Monday. If you did not get a chance to volunteer this time, you'll have another chance at the end of February. Thanks for your interest, everybody!

The Proposed Projects to Be Featured studio is one place the Scratch Team looks to find projects to feature on the homepage. All Scratchers can propose projects. The curators help by adding those projects to the studio.

Lots of Scratchers are interested in helping. This year, we would like to try out a new way of choosing curators for this studio. We hope this new plan will allow more people to be able to help.

The basic idea:

• Every month, we will have a new set of curators.
  
• At the end of each month, we will make a forum post to ask for volunteers to curate the next month.
  
• Towards the beginning of the next month, we will remove all of the previous curators and add the new ones.
  
• Scratchers are welcome to volunteer as many times as they like, including multiple months in a row. There’s no limit to how many times you can be a curator.
  

We will have our first new set of curators on Monday, February 1st! We are looking for curators who are Scratchers, and who are friendly and helpful in the community. If you would like to curate (or continue curating, if you are already a curator), respond here before Monday, February 1st. (Update 1/28: We decided to close applications early.)

If you become a curator, you will:

• Look at the studio comments for projects that Scratchers would like to add
  
• Check that the person proposing the project is…
  - A Scratcher
  - Not the person who made the project
  
• Check that the project…
  - Doesn’t obviously break the community guidelines (if it does, report it instead!)
  
• If all those things are true, add it!
  
• Respond to the comment to let them know you added it

Could I be a curator? I am active like 10 hours or more a day.

Can i be curator, i respect the community guidelines and never broke the rules. I am active 6 hours a day in the morning, and 2 hours in the night. and i follow all rules.
