I know people define Queen for their singles, but man, their album tracks are solid. So many great insights into the band that you can get from them (I wonder how many people know Freddie doesn't sing lead on every song for instance) and I'm glad that there are compilations like Deep Cuts that make them all easy to digest for people who are too hesitant to give them that kind of commitment yet.
I'm actually giving all of their main studio albums a listen, trying to knock out at least one per week at this rate. I'm going in a pattern of latest, earliest, latest, earliest, etc. to keep an interesting contrast, but I've reserved Made In Heaven for last once I've finished the others. Here are the ones I've listened to so far and my favourite from each one (I've listened to Sheer Heart Attack, A Night At The Opera and News Of The World in advance):
Queen: Liar
Sheer Heart Attack: Flick of The Wrist/Stone Cold Crazy (tied)
A Night At The Opera: '39
News Of The World: Fight From The Inside
The Miracle: Was It All Worth It
Innuendo: I'm Going Slightly Mad
So here's my Queen schedule pretty much: Queen II, A Kind of Magic, A Day At The Races, The Works, Jazz, Hot Space, The Game, Made In Heaven
Also going to listen to Barcelona, but it seems that only the newly orchestrated version is available online at the moment. Not a massive problem, but I would have liked the original for contrast at least.

Mandela effect “Of the world” makes me adore “We Are The Champions” and I also enjoy “Bohemian Rhapsody” for its sudden change toward… The middle, I think?

I never heard of Queen until the new movie came out recently. Their music is decent, but not as good as Imagine Dragons

Alright, here’s a question:
Who’s the best songwriter of the band in your opinion?
I think it’s Brian May. He wrote a large amount of Queen’s best songs (We Will Rock You, Hammer To Fall, The Show Must Go On, etc.)
