I've been on here for 4 weeks so far, but I don't go on the forums much and I'm still a new scratcher. I like cats, and I hope that one of my projects will be featured on Scratch.

(This is something for Paddle2See to add in the first post)
If you have a question, please ask in the Questions about Scratch forum.
Please use the Help with Scripts forum if you need help with scripting for a project.
For those of you wondering about how to become a scratcher, your question has already been answered on this thread and this thread. There is no need to make another topic asking on how to become a scratcher.

Hi, I''m new to scratch but i downloaded the scratch thing on my computer before i discovered this website. I have a new project called Acid Rain but it doesn't work the way I want it to. It's a game where you have to absorb the rain with your high- tech gear and save the world. I try to make the acid go back to the sky if you touch them so that I don't have to make millions of acid sprites that disappear when you touch them. This isn't working and it will really help if you take a look at the script and tell me what I'm doing wrong. Thanks.

Well… start with simple projects. New Scratchers do this to get ready for advanced projects, but they are only for Scratchers which don't need help at all. Hi!
We're new to Scratch, and having a little trouble with our first project, which is a tennis game. It is still a work in progress, but we can't stop the game once the time limit has finished. Instead of the stage switching at zero, our timer variable continues on to minus numbers and the game keeps going. Any ideas? We've tried scripting next background and blocks to select the background we want, but to no avail.
Thanks,
LacyGirls

I just joined the forum, and I haven't used Scratch yet.
I have some programming background with a couple of commercial languages, and I'm looking for a teaching language to use as an introductory language for a precocious 6-yr old boy.
I realize that 6 is below the 8-16 range, although I'm confident that I can teach this child a bit of programming, even if it is in BASIC.
Do you have any suggestions for a very short, easy Scratch assignment that a young beginner could handle in a single session? The Starter Projects are more complicated than I want for a first exercise.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Hello my name is StanleyArthur and I started recently hope I can see loads of project, how do you do videos thanks
Do you mean animate?
You can do it in these steps!
- Make any costume (a costume is a part of a sprite)
Duplicate that costume (Use the videogame console looking item at the top and click the costume)
Do it multiple times until you like it
Change costumes in every one.
If you mean video well, you can upload it from “videos” file i think, but i think the max video is
30 seconds.
