Options for Reporting Inappropriate Content

I have been teaching my students how to use SCRATCH for about two years now, and I have been sharing SCRATCH with the whole school. Unfortunately, some 4th graders found inappropriate content on SCRATCH yesterday, and we won't be able to use the program anymore. I feel horrible. I don't want the kids to lose this valuable learning tool.

Looking back, I feel like I dropped the ball because I didn't teach the kids how to report inappropriate content and then move on to something else. So I started looking at SCRATCH projects without logging in and discovered that I was not able to report anything. I can imagine there are good reasons not to allow non-registered users to report inappropriate content. At the moment, I am desperate to keep SCRATCH running at my school and think that all kids having the ability to report inappropriate content may be the only way to save the program.

I know that we can download SCRATCH and not use it online, but I don't think that will be allowed either.

I need help. Any ideas or changes that can be made, please share. Honestly, I'm panicking. I really don't want to lose SCRATCH at my school for good.

I don't think you need to panic. Just have the kids report the content to you and then you can report it from your account. Or set them up each with their own account.

^^^What TimothyLawyer said.

Also, I would like to mention that you can use the Contact Us form as well - that is also another way to report inappropriate contents.

You should probably tell them how to report as soon as possible, and have them make accounts so they can do this and also if they're using Scratch a lot they should have an account to save online and love, comment, have a profile, etc.
P.S. Scratch is not stylized SCRATCH even though the logo looks like that.

If you want the offline editor, that's a link to it. Also, I think the reason users have to be registered to report stuff is to prevent report spamming or abuse.

The main problem with user created content is that anyone can upload anything, but the bad content has to found first before it can be removed. Teaching the pupils how to report a project that's breaking the Scratch Guidelines is priority, and helps keep everyone on here safe and happy.

No I don't make projects anymore. I left some time ago.
I only check the forums every now and then, but other than that consider me retired.
