The Web Development Wiki

Hello, fellow Scratchers! My name is Nambaseking01 but a lot of people on Scratch just call me Nammy. Recently, a user asked if they could call me Nam. I did not deny, but I just want to point out that people in the 21st century need to make everything shorter due to their impatience. Now someone is calling me Nambase. Anyways, before a moderator starts to think I created a topic in this forum just to discuss this century, let's get to the point.

What is this topic about?

There is this website called FANDOM that is powered by the all-known MediaWiki and you can use this website to create your Wikis. Also, before some of you programming freaks start saying that FANDOM is a Github Pages rip-off, FANDOM is completely different because it is not about creating websites. You do not need to program anything, just choose a name for your wiki, choose a template and do some other blah blah blah and you have one. Then you can get some contributors to it and create new pages.

So I created a wiki called the “Web Development Wiki” on which you can create pages about web development. Just anything: web development news, tutorials, information pages — but just make sure it remains appropriate because I do not want any moderators closing down this page.

How do I contribute to this?

Just go to the wiki and create an account! Then you can start editing and creating pages! If you have any doubts, you can ask them on this topic or any profile on any of my website profiles.

How can I share that a page I am writing needs some help?

When a particular page needs help and you are writing it, just add in the “{{Stub}}” code without the quotations at the top of your page and then after a while, people will start helping more to edit your page.

Well, hopefully, this gave you some details about my new wiki and make sure to contribute!

Thank you for reading,
~Nammy~

P.S. Just so you know, you are also allowed to discuss web development here!

I don't understand why you brought GitHub in to this because it's nothing like Fandom? GitHub is a service that provides a web interface on top of git and git repositories (hence the name), and it's wiki feature is built to extend upon that? I don't know if you're referring to GitHub unto itself or GitHub Pages but there is no comparison between GitHub and Fandom.

Also, Fandom does not let you create your own “Wikipedia”, but rather your own Wiki. Wikipedia is a specific site, not a type of site.

Don't worry, I will fix all of that once I get on my PC.

Uh, you can bump once every 24 hours. I am not doing anything wrong, please read the forum rules before jumping to conclusions.

This is the forums, not the main Scratch website. It's completely different rules and etiquette. It's very important to review the posting guidelines per subforum.

Seems like that issue has already been resolved - please don't bring it up again. Thanks! :)
