Eraser Tool Not working

My browser / operating system: Windows NT 10.0, Chrome 71.0.3578.98, No Flash version detected

I have a student who is attempting to draw a sprite from scratch and as he is editing the image/costume, it won't let him erase individual lines, only whole sections. Any thoughts?

at least for me, it changes it into white while your erasing, but once you stop pressing your mouse/board/screen it will erase.

It's also really annoying because whenever you draw two lines touching each other, they'll turn into one shape, so you can't even delete individual parts of the sprite without use of the eraser.

I have the same problem! I'm trying to make an online shooter with platformer-like physics, and it won't let me erase part of the map!

ask [Why won't this eraser work?] and wait

I can even use the eraser tool was not working

I was trying to use to erase the unwanted parts of the spirte it did not work

Yeah same for me, except it lets me erase the one thing I actually want to keep which is even more annoying!

That is because the drawing tool is on vector. That is an odd mechanic of vector, just switch the paint editor to bitmap.

That's the same with the fill tool. The fill tool only works in bitmap. I was having the same problems with the eraser tool, though.

It's easy to erase if you convert it to bitmap, but then it gets all pixely.

It's still not fixed. When I try to erase part of the sprite, at first it seems to work but when I stop erasing it just comes back.

That's bc ur in vector. You need to make it bitmap to erase.

Well it's maybe a bitmap sprite but you convert it to vector.

For me it is not working

I erase it it comes back again and if I convert it to bitmap the whole drawing I have made gets damaged
