was it converted to bitmap then vector? vector will not erase bitmap

I have a student who is attempting to draw a sprite from scratch and as he is editing the image/costume, it won't let him erase individual lines, only whole sections. Any thoughts?

Make sure your student is in bitmap mode. You can check to see if he’s on bitmap mode by looking for a “Convert to Vector” button. If you find one, then it’s on bitmap mode.

When I want to erase on Vector, I'll erase and but when I take the eraser off the sprite, the erased part will stay the same. I could just go the Bitmap every time I want to erase, but then when I convert it back to Vector, the quality just won't be the same. What do I do?

Try to erase though it doesn't work, then search up [Why does the eraser not work on Scratch?]

It's possible that the size of the eraser is 0 or 1, making it almost impossible to see that it's erasing.

I also had an eraser problem.
I erased it, and it kept coming back.
But, as many before me have stated,
I solved the problem by going into bitmap.

Can replicate. I've given up using erase because I'm not willing to switch to bitmap and make my image pixelly

If the erase tool is not working copy the image, choose or upload a pixelated image, delete all that's there by clicking the trash can, if the tools are pixelated click the mouse tool, a little box should be showing, make the box go over the parts you want to erase , put your finger off the mouse, then click the trash can.

The eraser is not working for me either when I erase the part I don't want, it erases but when I let go of the mouse pad it goes back to how it was at the start. If you could please fix it, that would be great.

Yea. You have to convert to bitmap, erase and then you convert to vector. It works fine for me. Tell me if it worked.
