Anyone heard of Snap Circuits?
Anyone heard of Snap Circuits? I have “Snap Circuits Jr.” and the upgrade for it. If you have any questions, or if you know what I'm talking about, then let's talk! There's not much to say, I just want to know how many people know of it, as I'm the only one I know that even knows what it is, other then my family. I hope some people, at least, know what it is.

You can make some nice circuits with it. The numbered box approach is a little annoying though. Would be nice to connect it to Scratch.

Yeah. Do you have the Snap Circuits Jr. upgrade? You can make some nice circuits with it. The numbered box approach is a little annoying though. Would be nice to connect it to Scratch.

There's lots but had to look up what the upgrade was and no because it looks as if that has a computer interface. Interesting!

To bad you don't have it… I was wondering how you use the adjustable resistor, C1 C2 C3 and C4. There's lots but had to look up what the upgrade was and no because it looks as if that has a computer interface. Interesting!

May have googled that wrong. There was an upgrade with solar panel and computer interface but was not Jr. A variable resistor is reasonably straightforward. Are you sure it's called C1 etc? What's the problem?

I meant C1 btw, it's not called Jr. for some reason. It's SC#100-SC#300 I think… I'll check. May have googled that wrong. A lot of people like me know what snap circuits are. Pretty much most people don't know how to balance and evenly distribute the electrical current the way they want to, so they'll need a guide. Scratch is based on computer science, so it's much more simple.

? I didn't really get all of what you said… A lot of people like me know what snap circuits are. My “Space Wars” IC is broken! My mom ordered a new one about 3-4.5 (about) months ago, and it hasn't come yet….

I have Snap Circuits, but don't use them that much nowadays…
How is this related to Scratch? Perhaps it would be a better fit for READIN AN PLAYIN.

it's connecting to the phisycial world, and it has to do with computers. It's a part of making a computer, and so is programming, I think…. I have Snap Circuits, but don't use them that much nowadays…

I've used Snap Circuits with Scratch.
The Snap Circuits Micro module (also supplied in the ‘XP’ kit)
http://www.snapcircuits.net/products/product_details/snap_circuits_snapmicro_®__i_standard=MzY1
contains an 8 pin PIC module which can be programmed to pretend that its a picoboard
http://www.picaxe.com/Software/Third-Party/Scratch/
But you can only do input circuits (as picoboard/scratch is input only, not SnapCircuits fault) so I moved on to Wedo instead!
