Need Project Ideas???

Have you ever found it hard to think of an idea for your project??? Well here are a few tips………

1.) Find Inspiration From Other Scratch Projects
On the scratch home page there is a button on the top of the screen called “Explore”. Click that and scroll through some of them to find inspiration for a new project. You don't want to copy exactly what they have done but take a look at it and try to see how you can change it and make your own version. Also, if you take a look at someone's game and you think that it's missing something then try to see how you can recreate that project with what you wanted to add. Also, if you do use some of their scripts and costumes, you should give credit to them.

2.) Real Life
Everyone has most likely played a game on their mobile device, computer, console, etc.. So…did you ever think how cool it would be to create that game. Well, you can try to, using Scratch. Sure, it won't be exactly the same but similar and if you do recreate that real - life game on Scratch, then make sure to give the real creators credit too. You can also add your own things to that game or mix up up the objective of another game with it. You can also change it from 2D to 3D… For example, I created a Mario Run game after being inspired by my friends doing it and how much I loved the game.

3.) Anything Else
You can also take stuff from your dreams, your favourite television show or movie or create something based on a book you read. Taking things from your dreams could lead to a fabulous project because you can imagine things in your dream that maybe doesn't exist in the real world, a movie, or book. Sometimes, what I do is just open up a plain new project, sit there and test out random stuff. Eventually, ideas started overflowing my mind. Sometimes you imagine what you want to do but then when you open up the project you have no clue what to do. This is when you can search up tutorials. One thing I did is take costumes from a certain project and put it into mine. This small change really helped me a lot.

4.) Some Ideas
Here are some ideas for your project:
a.) A Scratch Platformer.
b.) A Cooking Game where the objective is to feed everyone in a certain amount of time.
c.) Hide and Seek but 3D…
d.) A Website with games on it but in Scratch.
e.) A maze game.
f.) A game which could save your progress and put you on a leaderboard.

Feel free to tell me if this helped, and put the links of projects that you made with these tips in the forum below. Also please suggest some ideas for games!!!

Need Project Ideas???

You can also get ideas for projects from different topics for studios. For example, I created a pong game after seeing a pong studio.
when green flag clicked
set [1 day] to [24 hrs]
think [Ooh Pong Studio...I think I'm going to make a game about pong.]
wait (1 day) secs
say [Ah here it is my very own pong game]

Here is my pong game: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/248493146/ , https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/209413090/
You can go into the code and make the CPU harder. I'm going to try to make CPU levels as an option in the game.
