I don't think there's anything wrong with the word discord itself, the only problem is if you post a link to discord. However, the site's bad world filter can be set off by it sometimes.

As for the OP, I'd say it should be fine if you're not using it in the context of the PM site. If you're referring to something different like the character from MLP or the song named after him, it should be fine.

You can say “discord” - whether you are referring to the company or otherwise, as long as it doesn't involve actually joining a discord server or requesting access to one.
