In this topic I will discuss my Pokemon fanfiction, Pokemon Dreams, which should start to be worked on sometime in 2019. Maybe sooner if we're lucky

The concept? You have just moved into the (unnamed) region, which is said to be the region where dreams are made. You start off in Opal Town - the town of many colors - where one of the two Pokemon Professors of the region - Professor Pine - gives you your first Pokemon. Along your quest, you see a mysterious girl wearing a blindfold who calls herself Luna trying to brainwash people… But could the stuff Luna is trying to brainwash you into believing actually true?

(more info on it later)

I will discuss concepts for the story here, information on when it will be released, concept art, and more! I might even create a fan game based upon it… but who knows?

There will be two rivals. Sol, the main rival, who is also considered to be an “unfriendly rival” who claims she needs to be stronger to beat a certain someone. She was adopted by the professors, who found her in the woods being attacked by some Spearow. She apparently had her Pokemon taken away by someone… but who?

Then there is a secondary rival who is a boy and is a friendly rival who helps the player. Not quite sure what his name is yet, but I think his goal is to master different forms.

There will also be regional variants. I already have plans for Butterfree and Rapidash.

I also already have a design idea for Sol. She has fluffy blonde hair and wears goggles, Though I might have to edit her design because it looks a lot like Yang from RWBY”

“Okay, so I’m planning out more about my Pokémon fanfic.

The professor will be Professor Pine (I had another name planned but I forgot it…) and there are actually two professors. Husband and wife <3. The husband is the main professor, but he is out because someone needed his help. The wife gives you your first Pokémon, and as you head out on your journey you are interrupted by Sol, who eventually becomes your rival. She had just gotten her starter and asks for a battle. Once you beat her she says something about “needing to be stronger to beat her” and runs off. As you continue going, you see a girl in a blindfold talking to an ace trainer, claiming that equality is something that must happen. The player talks to the girl in the blindfold, who walks away and the ace trainer wonders if what she was saying was true. You then see Professor Pine (the husband) who thanks you for stopping the girl in the blindfold. He also gives you the Pokédex, claiming that he accidentally brought it with him instead of leaving it at the Pokémon lab. He then says that you should challenge the Obsidian City Pokemon Gym, and heads back to the lab

I might change what the first gym is, but for now it’s Mia’s gym. Also, each city is named after some kind of rock, gemstone, or mineral. And in the cities with gyms, the gym badge resembles the gemstone the city is named after”

“What am I doing up at 3 AM? Sharing you inspiration for my Pokémon region! I’m probably going to write a fanfic about it, the game would most likely be Pokémon Dreams. I’m not sure where the region would be based upon, I might do America. But anyway, the towns would be named after gemstones, and I already planned two of the gym leaders

Mia, the normal type specialist. She loves cat like Pokémon, but when you come to her gym it is closed and you have to find her by a lake. Once you meet her, she will state that a Pokémon she loved used to sit next to her by that lake, and say that if you want to battle her she will return to the gym. She only has a Delcatty, and after being battled she says that the Pokémon she lost was a Meowth, and that she was lonely without them. Meowth and Delcatty were her only Pokémon, and she was considering no longer running her gym after it’s death. But the player inspired her to continue the gym. She wears a necklace with Meowth’s charm on it, the charm used to be the one of her Meowth. Her name is a reference to meow

Penny, the steel type specialist. She and her father run a factory and the factory is actually the gym. The player must travel through rotating gears to reach her. Her Pokémon are a Skarmory and a Magneton. She is said to be one of the smartest gym leaders, and is good at coming up with products that make a lot of money. Her dad is a retired gym leader. Her name comes from the type of coin

“I may also have a blind psychic type who sees with their mind. Though I was considering making my OC Riley be the psychic specialist

Also Melanie (my OC) would be the ghost gym leader, but in the end considers switching to fairy types

“Penny was originally going to be the normal type one (because of the Meowth coin….) but I thought that was stupid tbh. Another good name would be Nicki, like nickel

I might make a prequel to the story, too. Penny’s gym would feature her dad instead of her as the leader, and Mia would have her Meowth. I also think all of Mia’s Pokémon would know return, showing her connection with them. I might also make a backstory to what happened to Meowth”

“I was inspired by a video I saw to ask… if you lead a villainous team, what would it be called? What would your goals be? What Pokémon would you specialize in? I came up with an idea last night that I am pretty fond of, but I am still working on it.

It would be either Team Lucid (as in lucid dreaming) or Team Nightmare. The members in it all are capable of lucid dreaming, or have very vivid dreams. The leader, Luna, is capable of showing her dreams and visions to others, but she wears a blindfold since in the past her visions were showed to others uncontrollably. She was also made fun of due to her uncontrollable power, and a lot of people thought she was weird after she started to wear a blindfold all the time.

I’m not sure if they would have their own region or not, or if they’d just be in Alola or something.

At the beginning of the game, you would encounter Luna attempting to brainwash someone with her visions, trying to make them think the world was corrupt due to how people are discriminated for being different, and how some Pokémon are hated just because of being weak or different or ugly. However, she is stopped by the player, and the person being brainwashed comments on how strange it was, and wonders if what Luna said was true

(Cue part that I haven’t planned out yet)

Later on, Luna is confronted by the player and their rival - who came reluctantly, since they aren’t a friendly rival - and Luna challenges the player to a battle, trying to convince the player that everyone should be equal. Once she’s defeated, she feels angry about how she still isn’t strong enough to fulfill her dreams, and she distracts the player and rival with a vision and uses this to escape. Once she vanishes, Luna’s mom walks into the scene, and tells the player and rival about Luna’s childhood, revealing about how she had trouble controlling her ability, and she became afraid of herself. She closed herself from the world, and (insert thing about her feeling people should be equal idk) eventually running away from home and starting the villainous team.

Then I’m thinking in the sub game the player finds Luna, and tries to convince her that the world is fine as it is, but Luna pushes the player away, but then… yeah idk

Okay if you want me to stop talking about my Pokémon fanfic that’s okay, but I came up with a new gym leader at summer camp today (I drew him last night but came up with a backstory today)

His name is Phoenix… I bet his name makes his specialized type obvious, but he specializes in fire types. His design is wizard themed and somewhat resembles Delphox (this was originally unintentional but I decided it would be cool) and he will have a Delphox and a Ninetales. Possibly one other Pokémon possibly a Zorua despite not being a fire type to match the accidental fox theme… to make him more strong.

His backstory? Well, here’s a pretty interesting one. He wasn’t always known as Phoenix. In fact, he was known as Grunt. More specifically, a Team Rocket Grunt. He originally lived in Kanto region and would steal and sell other people’s Pokémon. But eventually he realized he was hurting his future doing this and left Team Rocket and completely changed himself. He decided to call himself “Phoenix” to signify he had been reborn, similar to how a Phoenix is reborn. He moved to the region my fanfic takes place in as it is known as “the region of dreams” hoping to fulfill his dreams of a fresh start, and when he found out that there was an opening for a gym leader he decided to try out and he became the gym leader of Ruby City.

Also, unrelated, but he met Melanie in his journey in this region. He met her when she was a Hex Maniac and ended up inspiring Melanie to be a gym leader too. They tend to visit eachother a lot, and Melanie is actually seen in his gym in the story. I might actually ship them in the future

Luna will state that she feels like she is the chosen one too, as she is capable of sharing her visions that she gets of a perfect world with others.

Idk why but I think it would be cool if Ghetsis caught N and killed him between Black 2/White 2 and this fanfiction and Luna either:
A) Brought him back to life
B) N was never actually brought back to life but Luna thinks he is because she was his friend or something and she wants him back so badly, she sees him even though he isn’t actually there

There is evidence Unova is before Alola because there was concept art of a Unova Elite Four member made for USUM saying “2 years” which means that USUM happened two years after B2W2

Working on designing Mia… Do you guys think her having a short cape with the hood having cat ears would be out of place for a gym leader/Pokemon character in general? Though Shauntal did have something similar and personally that was a bit distracting…. what do you think? Ireally like the idea but it may not work

The cat ears should look like they could fit with a Pokemon you can encounter in tall grass if you know what I mean
