Support, I've been noticing the forums getting a lot less active, and this suggestion might help the forums become active again.
However, no support for removing the “my stuff” button, I'm sure a lot of users use that one more often and we don't want to cause more chaos. Neutral support for removing the About section, since some users might still use it.

“My Stuff” is definitely a button that gets used. I don't think I ever bother clicking on my username to go to My Stuff.

“About” should really be left there, since anybody wanting to check out the site (especially teachers or parents) will probably need to read it rather than have it buried at the bottom of the page.

Then show it only to signed out users. Likewise, the Discuss link can be shown only to signed in users, and Tips can be shown only to new Scratchers.

Okay, so they lose five minutes of 3.0 development. But that's just one team member working on the navbar. That's either just that one member doing an extra five minutes of work or another team member doing that lost five minutes. This is no honking huge project that has to wait until January to be done because it takes an entire team to complete it in two days. It takes literally one team member and five minutes.
