Put lots of time and effort into your projects, and take the time to design them with smooth coding and nice graphics.

Also, keep in mind that everything, including making good projects, has a learning curve. You won't be making griffpatch-level projects your first hour on Scratch. It took the experienced Scratchers months, perhaps years to reach where they are now.
