Improvements to the Bad Word Detector

Hey y'all!

Recently, I was posting this comment on a future FPC's studio:
Congrats! I worked really hard on these games and I'm wondering if you could check them out. 1) An Original Platformer. It has glitches, but I put cheat codes to solve them: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/129283576/ 2) An original timed game that I worked really hard on: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/177419253/ 3) An interactive, educational lab that teaches the parts of a cell: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/132846968/ —–Good Luck!
When I clicked “post”, a bubble popped up that told me I was using bad words. I could not find any bad words. Confused, I changed the comment to:

This time, the comment posted without a bubble popping up. I don't know what bad words were in my comment. I think that the Bad Word Detector (or the BWD) should highlight the bad word in your post instead of just telling you there is one, since I didn't use or see any bad words in my comment (to my knowing) and probably misspelled a word or confused the BWD somehow. This would make it easier to solve problems when you have misspelled a word or typed something that confused the BDW and don't know what to fix in your comment. If I did use inappropriate language that I'm not aware of or misspelled a word, I'll take down this discussion. However, I don't believe that is the case.

Thanks for reading!

I support this idea! This has happened to me before and I basically had to discard my comment because i couldn't figure out what was wrong with it.

Support! This is extremely needed.

From what I see, it could be this that caused the problem: “—–”

I love this idea!

If you don't speak up or do anything, then nothing will ever change. So do something, for what's right. Even if it's the tiniest thing, it could make a difference. Fight Back!

See that boy you made fun of for reading a book? Last night his best friend committed suicide. ° See that girl you called fat? She is starving herself. ° See that old man you made fun of cause of the ugly scars? He fought for our country. ° See that young boy you made fun of for crying? His mother is dying. ° Copy and paste this on your signature if you are against bullying. #BullyingMustStop Join Our Cause

Support, but this does have a problem. Kids might accidentally type in a bad word and then see that it causes the bad word detector to mess up, then might learn a bad word from it. Then again, the chance of this is rare..
Anyway, were you thinking this? (Let's say wolf was a bad word, and the red letters indicated when it came up)

I think I won't be as active anymore. I've been really busy looking
at my old photos, and I think I want to start doing some
more photography. I'll be looking for my old camera.
I hope I'll find it, and will hopefully return to being more active.

Not exactly. I'll use your example of wolf:

Hmmm. I ran your text samples through the filter manually. While I did get a few minor hits on some words, I didn't see anything that would cause it to be rejected. Are you sure your samples are accurate?

Well, it's because they were in an FPC studio so they were asking if the person would consider curating their project.

And all the world over, each nation's the same,
They've simply no notion of playing the game.
They argue with umpires, they cheer when they've won,
And they practice beforehand, which ruins the fun!

Support, as it would be much faster to remove the “bad word” instead of re-type the entire sentence.

It didn't work, so I edited some more:
Congrats! I worked really hard on these games and I'm wondering if you could check them out. 1) An Original Platformer. It has glitches, but I put cheat codes to solve them: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/129283576/ 2) An original timed game: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/177419253/ 3) An interactive, educational lab: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/132846968/

Hmmm. I ran your text samples through the filter manually. While I did get a few minor hits on some words, I didn't see anything that would cause it to be rejected. Are you sure your samples are accurate?
Yeah, I copied and pasted all of the samples, and none of them set the BWD off.
That is what I put. I tried copying and pasting the text and I activated the bad word detector. Try replacing the dashes when commenting (there should be 5 in total), because they were not connected in the comment like they were in this forum.
I did, it still didn't set it off. Replace it with what?
Replace the dashes with dashes. I know it sounds weird, but it changed the outcome for me.
