• Play on the smallest server you can find. The Europe region has lots of servers with under 100 players. (0-50 is the best. In the screenshot of the above post, the server I was playing on only had 20 players.)
  
• Arctic biome is the best, thanks to not much players hanging out there (you may find some Sabertooth, Mammoth, or Yeti, however). To transform into an Arctic animal, hang around the Arctic and try to upgrade.
  
• Hang around a certain area for a while. If too many predators rush in, move out and find your own territory (hey, a feature idea!).
  
• Animals with OP abilities are a must.
  
• Use your defenses wisely. If you can't defend yourself, RUN!! (If you're a hill climbing animal and the predator can't climb hills, you're lucky.)
  

• Go on small servers.
  

• Choose animals with good defensive abilities, like the donkey's backwards kick, the rhino's charge, or the seal's ability to climb over both hills and rocks.
  

• Stay in the vicinity of a good escape route.
  

• If a predator spots you, run to the nearest hole and camp out there. If the predator gets bored of waiting for you and leaves, do not tailbite them, since that will not only alert them to your presence, but will also get them triggered at you.
  

• If you're smaller than the predator, use that to your advantage and squeeze through small spaces.
  

• Sometimes, it's useful to leave a sort of “peace offering” for the predator that's chasing you. As you're running, find a prey animal and somehow force them behind you in front of the predator, preferably with low health and/or stunned. Hopefully, the predator will turn their attention to the easily catchable prey that's now in front of them, and will leave you alone. It's a bit brutal, but sometimes it's enough to get a predator off your trail.
  

• As a last resort, if a predator camps you out in a hiding hole and you're losing water fast, try chatting “team”. It doesn't always work, but it sometimes does the trick.
  

• Go on the largest server possible.
  

• Choose animals with good offensive abilities, like the rhino's charge, the croc's bite/drag, and the tiger's ambush attack.
  

• Use your abilities to your advantage! For example, the croc can go very fast in mud while most other animals are slowed down, so you can lurk around mud patches and drag unsuspecting prey animals into the mud, where they will be trapped and you have a major advantage over them.
  

• If a predator chases you, try to gain distance on them by moving around in an unpredictable way. Try to find places where you have the advantage, like crossing rivers if you're a hippo. Enter hiding holes if you can't outdistance them. If a predator leaves a hiding hole that you're in, always try to tail-bite them, especially if you're on the verge of upgrading to the next tier.
  

• Target high-level prey animals with low health.
  

• The best abilities are the ones that deal damage and stun the prey.
  

• Go on small servers, because they generally will have less competitors and more food.
  

• Go ocean, because it has the most food.
  

• Try to find mushroom bush clusters.
  

• Use intimidation to drive other animals away from plentiful food sources.

Funny thing: When I reached the 1M counter, I was still a blue whale.

Unfortunately, I was killed by another dragon, with tail-biting. I don't mind, since I don't plan on reaching Black Dragon in the future.
