Scratch's cloud has been broken for a long time, since Flash stopped supporting what Scratch uses for Cloud Data.
Look forward to Scratch 3.0, though. It's gonna be completely in a different program.

The recent power event at MIT caused some damage to critical infrastructure for Scratch. We have managed to get most things back online, but we are still working to recover cloud variables. We hope to have them back online as soon as possible. Sorry for all the trouble!

The recent power event at MIT caused some damage to critical infrastructure for Scratch. We have managed to get most things back online, but we are still working to recover cloud variables. We hope to have them back online as soon as possible. Sorry for all the trouble!Well, that explains why I could not make Cloud Variables.
