I'm not talking about some dumb converter, I mean an ability to save as any of the common file types.
This will make Scratch the perfect game making tool. For now, you can only share on the language's website, which is boring when you want to make a fangame or an indie game.
For my particular request, the project is Sonic Blur. I want to be able to save it as .jar right from the editor, rather than replacing all clones, custom blocks, and vector graphics, just to convert it to .sb, then to convert it to any of the above file types, which is a really hard thing.
Also, don't put in the flag. If you're making an indie/fangame, it's really embarrassing to see a flag and a stop sign at the top. This will really help, and make Scratch a better language/tool.

This will really help, and make Scratch a better language/tool.Making an indie/fangame with Scratch would be very difficult to do with the amount of time it would take, and would also run much faster if it was made in a different language.
There are also other things that would make developing professional games hard:
- Clone limit
- No easy way for a professional-looking score counter
- Inability to detect a lot of keys
- No easy way for a professional-looking text input
- The size of the screen
- Any bugs that make Scratch projects function incorrectly
Sorry, but I don't support for reasons listed above.

And then there's the thing where you can say you made it all by yourself in Flash/Java/etc.
No support for reasons above, too.

Support. Maybe an intro thing saying Made in Scratch or something? It could be confusing for New Scratchers, but still support.

2. I would to be able to do this not for making indie games as such but some I can turn my games into private(not commercial)games on my mac

Support. Maybe an intro thing saying Made in Scratch or something? It could be confusing for New Scratchers, but still support.BYOB does this and its for beginners and made in scratch would be good

Well, if there's a converter for sb2, then shouldn't there be an option for no green flag? I'm going to say I made it in scratch, I just don't want a flag and a stop sign, it's kinda embarrassing.

Scratch isn't actual code you can make into jars or apps or exes. Scratch is real code used to make fake code, so this would be impossible.

it's kinda embarrassing. If it's embarrassing to have that, then a better idea is to just code it in Java or some other programming language that is widely used.
And, in my opinion, most people might think it's kind of weird that a “professional” game was made in an introductory programming language.
I'm just saying.

Java has an extensibility feature where you can sort of define your own language; you can define a JVM implementation of blob8108's scratchblocks, then export your project via kurt (also made by blob), and compile it to a .jar and then just use a wrapper to get it to .exe or .app.

The only converter I know of that can hide the start/stop sign is the one in the Bingo 2.0 mod of Scratch 1.4 and it supports clones, so if you're going to use this you'll have to remove the cloning, convert it to scratch 1.4, load it in bingo and put the clones back in.

I don't know.
If we did this, no-one would bother learning to code with harder programming languages such as Java or C++ as Scratch would be all they need.

scratch doesn't have lambda expressions, regular expressions, functions that return values, file i/o, tons of things.
that said, I don't support this suggestion. if you find the green flag so embarrassing, just use another programming language.
