Character Measurements

I have absolutely NO idea where else I could put this topic, so I decided to put it here.

One time I posted on the Wikipedia discussion but it got deleted.
For most of the info, go here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/94390475/
Although, I am nowhere near close to getting all of the characters on there. I lost a load of tabs trying to and I kind of felt like it was a waste of time.

Anyways, we're running out of prefixes to name the Scratch Characters. I don't want two to have the same name, because…I don't know. I just think there can be only one REAL one. *sigh*

I, um…have a theory. Numeric or general prefixes should be able to tie-in with metric prefixes. I mean, I noticed that hendeka means 11, and hendaka means 10 to the power of 33 (11 x 3). (Hendaka comes from this link. Notice how after there's a cell, there's teron, peton, exon, zetton, yotton, xennon, dakon and hendakon. It's the same as tera, peta, exa, zetta, yotta, etc. That's how I added xenna, daka and hendaka.) That means, just about any numeric prefix could become a metric prefix when replacing one vowel with an “a” and then multiplying it by 3 and powering 10 to that number.

Also, in my Murderous Maths: Savage Shapes book, there's a “googlagon”. That gives the impression that “googla” (googol) could be a prefix. That would also mean this family of googolpolyplexes might fit in as well.

Here's my current list of numeric/metric prefixes (ones I made/merged marked with a #):

Take a gander at this list if you're interested.
Other than that, see you next time

Actually, a apeirogon is a line with infinite vertices, not a circle.

when green flag clicked
forever :: control {
scratch cool stuff :: events stack
if <groovy? :: extension Boolean> then :: control {
wow. [I like v] :: variables stack

I'm sorry that this is off-topic, but how in the world did you join 21 years ago?! Scratch isn't even that old…

Help improve the Advanced Topics (Really!)
Before you create a topic:
Always search for duplicates or other similar topics before making an umbrella topic, e.g., “The Mac Topic”.
  • Is it about something you are planning on making but haven't made yet? If so, please wait to post until you have created a working prototype. This is a key factor to keeping the ATs as clean as possible.
  • The ATs aren't technical support. It is perfectly valid to ask questions about things related to programming, but not issues with external websites, apps, or devices. Most sites have their own support system; try asking there!
  • Is it related to something you are making in Scratch? (This includes OSes and other Scratch projects) If so, please post in Collaboration, Show and Tell, or another similar forum.
  • Is your topic questionably “advanced”? Try browsing the other forums to see if your topic fits better in one of those.
  • Issues with Scratch itself should be put in Bugs and Glitches.
