I am making a social media tycoon where you build your own social media network to compete against Tumblr, Facebook, and Twitter. You upgrade your site by adding advertisements, allowing producers to make applications and widgets for your site, and a bunch more.

My problem is, that isnt enough. Do you guys have any suggestions?

Counters are added, by level of popularity. Each day (simmed by game every minute) the levels will change. Facebook will hover around 1 billion (as it was in March 2013) until the player's media network is substantial enough to dominate the market.

Minigames? Give me an example. I cannot see where you are going with this

Online shopping… like advertisements? There will be “ads” (fake ads that either I or the community comes up with) that will be cycled through every simmed week so the player can purchase ads for revenue, though the ads might not give them much (if at all) profit.

Following system… again I do not see where you are going with this… sorry. If you included some detail, that would be nice.
