Featured?

Before I go into my suggestion I would like to say that I know all of the rules to be featured so please don't reply by stating the rules and the purpose of the featured section because I already know.
Also this is just a suggestion and I have made a suggestion like this before but this time I would like to change the suggestion a little bit (if you saw my last suggestion please just focus on this one)
Okay here is my SUGGESTION: Could 1-2 of the featured projects be previous Top Loved projects?
The current purpose of the featured section is to help notice projects and that is great and I wouldn't want to change that but what if instead of changing it we just added another small purpose to it?
The second purpose would be to more publicly show one of the projects that the community is currently enjoying or has enjoyed. This way those who didn't get to see it, see it/them
Also maybe when(if) this process gets easier the 1-2 previous Top Loved projects could be voted on?
This is just a suggestion and if this sounds interesting or stupid there is more information on it here:
https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/148379977/
If you don't like this idea please DO NOT reply with the featuring rules and purpose but other than that I would love to hear your feedback. (If you disagree and the only thing you have to back yourself up with is the rules/purpose you can just simply put “disagree”)
Also I know that Scratch isn't about popularity I just think that some projects in Top Loved have a purpose that is meant to be featured v.s. Top Loved.
I KNOW THAT FEATURED SECTION IS TO HELP NOTICE PROJECTS but I want to add to he purpose.

Thank you!

Your idea makes sense, but when a project is top-loved, it is already in the front page, like Featured Projects.

I know gangs why I added the different purpose and minimized the amount of those projects. It is also why I suggested the voting idea.
Thank you for your feedback!

Umm thanks for the feedback but if you read my message I already know what the purpose is and you aren't supposed to reply with that I already said that. I was saying that we could add to that purpose so I would appreciate it if you could actually read the suggestion, thank you!

Sorry, No Support. Top Loved projects are already on the FP, and some get even more popularity than featured projects. They dont need any more attention. Also, please fix the grammar in the OP. It is hard to understand.

It's probably hard to understand cuz I had to say the same thing multiple times.
Why?
Because a couple people replied the purpose after I asked that nobody does that, so no I'm not gonna “fix it”
Thanks so much for your feedback anyways

You're essentially asking for featured and top loved to be the same. But why? They both have distinct purposes, and it makes no sense to blend them together.

I've been featured and top loved before (at different times obviously), both have essentially the same effect in terms of recognition for the project. Although, I did feel a different sense of pride because I reached Top Loved all on my own (without curation).

Also, with this many users, it would be so unfair to have the same person on the front page twice with the same project.

(This is if I understand what you're saying which is adding to the “Feature” section “what the community is enjoying” by having 1-2 of the “topped loved” projects being featured and when the process gets eaisier people can vote on what projects can be featured from the “topped loved” section. Let me know if I got that right XD)

No support/disagree

(I'm not stating the rules btw) That's kind of the purpose of “topped loved”, being called “what the community is loving. On top of that the featured section would be over flooded with projects daily (even with 1-2 projects) being that ”topped loved" changes pretty much daily. As for the voting, it has a possibility to raise advertising rate ("vote for my project

Yes, also in the TOU is states that you may not create voting organisations for the purpose of being front paged.
Section 3.5 sub-paragraph 5:
3.5 -snip-
5. Using alternate accounts or organizing voting groups to manipulate site statistics, such as purposely trying to get on the “What the Community is Loving/Remixing” rows of the front page.

I know I'm saying that with the Scratch Teams permission the rule could change. ( no offense but it's obvious that that rule would be changed if this were to happen) thanks for the feedback

Oh, you mean the TOU?

That's serious… Idk if the ST will be able to do that, since it protects them (well… and us too XD) from legal (and other) accusations.

That's not a great idea; after all, it's just going to be giving projects that are already getting tons of attention (and already have lots of views) onto the front page a second time, so that they can get even more views. I don't agree with this concept, as it's not fair to the people who should be getting actual featured slots.

However, if it was a suggestion to raise the limit from 100 Love-Its to higher, then I'd support that one as featured projects usually get 1,000 loves and get popular, but projects that just passed 100 loves aren't necessarily popular whatsoever, or have been seen by lots of people, and then are blocked from the front page. But it's not a suggestion about that, and that's really the only feature rule I'd think of changing, so…

Instead, these projects are getting enough attention as it is (if you're getting 500 loves in a week, you're definitely going to appear on that front page), and I don't think they need even more than they did previously.
