Hey, so recently I've been using unity to create games but I really want to make a professional 2d platformer, using another creation tool (so not scratch or unity) I've looked at a couple (like gamemaker) but they haven't really been right. Because They have to be free - and the demo isn't great

If anyone could point me in the right direction That'd be a HUGE help

I use C# and XNA, but I'm still a noob at it.

Unity is a good engine! It's not 2d, though.

I saw what he posted, but it sounded like he was saying that Unity isn't a good engine. You can make 2.5D games in Unity.
