The Champion's Tunic is worth upgrading. It may require upgrades from the dragons, but it gives you a lot of defense. So far, it has a defense of 22 and is currently my most powerful armor.

Yes, it very much so is. So is the flamebreaker armor. Fireproofing is SO nice. So far, I have only the Rito winter set, the flamebreaker set (minus helm), and the stealth armor set, along with the Champ's tunic. Stealth is at +2, Champ's at +2, flamebreaker at +1.

Also, I like how the Goron Divine Beast has air conditioning.

I've been getting all the armour in both DLC and regular. Currently, I am assembling the craziest outfits possible to fight ganon in.
