Getting teased for going on Scratch
I don't know if this is the right forum to post this in, but at school everyone's making fun of me(and only me,)for going on scratch, so should I quit scratch? I'm not really having as much fun with it anymore because of this, and it's getting a bit boring. Are there any ways I can still have fun onscratch with everyone making fun of me?
If you don't understand my post, tell me and I'll explain as well as I can! Remember to show your support in a constructive way that adds to the discussion, rather than just saying “Support” or “No Support”. Also remember that Scratch is a place to have fun, make projects, and show your interests with coding, so have FUN and KEEP ON SCRATCHING!

There are a few reasons people will insult you for it:
1. They feel insecure about your ability to do something they can't.
2. They have pressure from another person to insult you in order to be ‘cool’.
3. They hate you for other reasons.
4. They feel insecure by your indifference to their previous efforts to insult you.
As you can see, if you hold your own, you will prove that you are right and you won't get as much stick for anything in the future.

Don't let them get in your way! Tell a teacher and keep on Scratching! He/she can't tell you what to do, and if it really becomes a problem, Scratch at home!
Don't let other people control you and your personality.
Keep Scratching, I hope it turns out fine,

Tell an adult and your friends won't be mean to you anymore.
Ignore the nasty things your friends are saying to you.
Move on and be happy.

Don't. It's completely fine and you don't have to care about them poking you around- I haven't seen any big problem (except for glitches and some needed fixes on programming).
Do you have a computer at home? In that case, you can have fun at home without being bullied at school. If you don't, tell your teacher. If you have other good friends (the ones that won't poke you around), one of them may use Scratch. Or, you can introduce it to them.

Don't drop out of Scratch please! It's such a great website. You could
A. Tell them it is like instragram but better.
B. Ignore them and keep playing.
C. Tell them it's the new rage and Taylor Swift goes on it!
Hopes that helps your dilemma. If you ever beed more advice follow me and comment on my profile! Don't give up Scratch!

If I were you, I would work really hard and make something AMAZING, then show them. Then they will realize that Scratch is a pretty good program. If they keep teasing you, they probably just can't get what they want to work

Tell you the truth, I used to do that a little. Then, I found out how advanced scratch is. I remember a friend teasing me a little about it, then I showed them the AT forum. They suddenly thought just how advanced scratch can be.

Stuff like this almost always works, because there isn't really any response without you proving them wrong.
People “teased” (mostly as a joke tho, I poke fun at the fact myself) me too, and your solution could also be to just not use it in school. If they're at your home, you're probably friends enough with them for it not be offensive or for you to respond jokingly.

Ignore them, they'll find out it's a good game, like my friend used to call my game just “Legos” and now he is so addicted to it he had it on his birthday cake yesterday. You'll be fine, just ignore them, tell me how it goes
