I will be sad if we still don't get custom reporters after all this time…I feel like “run without screen refresh” is even more confusing than custom reporters. Maybe that's just me?
Also, just had an idea… What if, instead of a Snap!-style report block
report [] :: control capthere was a setting that turned the define block into a hat + c-block combo?

That way you couldn't possibly place the report block in the wrong place.
(That was some pretty impressive gimping, if I do say so myself.)

@PullJosh I feel like that's ideal *except* in cases where you want multiple report statements (if true, report this. else, report that).
It could be worked around pretty easily, but then you'd have the same problem with nigh unreadable scripts to do something (relatively) simple.

Yeah, I guess I could do it with a variable, but that's not nearly as cool.
Besides, they don't seem to have too much of a problem with putting blocks in the wrong place. After all, I can do this in 2.0:

I hope Scratch becomes a lot faster, i.e. faster than a 30 year old computer.
I'm also hoping for faster costume switching, unlimited sound channels, better instruments, bitwise operators…

Speaking of Blockly, I also hope they don't remove capabilities from Blockly so we can “hack” in some stuff not supported by default, such as custom reporters…
