I have Super Scratch programming adventure (version 1.4)
My problem is I can't find the Super Scratch folder and the folders that can be accessed do not contain a number of the images required by the projects.
Example: In the Stage 3 project “Trapped By Mona Lisa's Smile” everything has worked fine until I reach the puzzle segment. As you no doubt know the project requires you to access the Super Scratch folder and import the puzzle sprite. At this point and after much effort I am beginning to doubt either of these features exist…..HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND THEM.

I have downloaded from the link but it was a zip file and scratch doesn't open zip files!

A zip file is a compressed archive of files. You have to unzip it first - then you will find the .sb files that Scratch recognizes. Try Googling “unzip a file” and you can probably find instructions for your particular operating system. Good luck!

i can't find the super scratch folder

Thank you Paddle2See! I used 7zip to open the files but I can't open the stuff in the files! 1.Scratch can't open it. 2. 7zip can't open it! 3.The computer company (windows) can't open it either!

I downloaded it from this site, and unzipped the file but none of my programmes will open the contents.
Looked online for help and received none.
Nothing on the forums either.
So what do we do to open the files inside the zipped folder?

We have the same issue, and like spiritwindlola we have downloaded and unzipped the resources but now don't know how to open them…

- actually the thing to do seems to be, go to the scratch website, click on file/upload from computer, and then navigate to the files you downloaded. I am no expert but I hope that helps!

I seem to be having the same problem. I've tried everything, but I can't get the mona lisa puzzle onto the game. Can anyone help me?

Either upload the resources to your Scratch project online OR use the offline editor to open the files. IIRC there are instructions on how to do that in the book (but I can't find my copy, so I can't verify that).

please has any one foud a solution to this issue? scartch still wouldn't load its resources i downloaded from nostarch website

It sounds like the book is using Scratch 1.4 but this is Scratch 2.0

Maybe you have to download a copy of 1.4 and use that to be able to use the book in a complete way. The resources for 2.0 have different file extensions than the resources for 1.4
