Why I want to be in the scratch mentoring committee? I love to help out in the community, especially helping new scratchers get the hang of things, because I know how hard it can be for new scratchers.

How do my credentials show my expertise? I love helping out new scratchers, and being a mentor would be great because I could help scratchers that have questions and need a guide.

Accepted ! I'll suggest going to the training thread to get started !
I would suggest waiving that requirement…but that's for you and crazy to decide.

Why I want to be in the scratch mentoring committee?
I want to be in the Scratch Mentoring Committee because I was once a very confused new Scratcher. I wish I had seen this program when I was one! It was very hard for me to get an intro to programming, so I want to give others that intro!

What I can contribute to the Scratch Mentoring Committee?
I can commit my time, my expertise, and my help to other Scratchers.

How do my credentials show my expertise?
I am having a curated project. I also have been on Scratch for 6 months so I have some experience.

Position Wanted: Mentor
Username: rainbow_waves
Time on Scratch: 3 months, 1 week, but it feels like forever.
Best Project: Math Quiz, The Dark Storm (front paged), The Dark Storm Pt. 2., I'm undecided, and I'm working on a project that, when released, will be much better than any of these.
Project in Welcoming Committee?: No, but hopefully soon.
Scratch Wiki Editor: I'm planning on applying soon!
Activity Levels: 10/10
Activity Levels in Forum: 9/10
Time you can dedicate to Scratch Mentoring Committee: At least 30 minutes a day, probably more!
SDS Helper?: Yes!
Scratch Helper: No, hopefully soon!
Extra Credentials: I run Ocean Breeze, a very successful shop. I've trained to be a finder, but found it too simple, so I wanted more of a challenge. I help in the FPC Application Help studio, and in the FPC Application studio.
Other: I love teaching and helping. When I first joined Scratch, a ton of people in the Welcoming Committee made me feel, well, welcomed! I want to do that with New Scratchers. I have a bunch of friends from real life on Scratch, and they are all new Scratchers. I've given them help, and now they are working on great projects!

Open Ended:

Why I want to be in the scratch mentoring committee?
When I first joined Scratch, I was welcomed by many people. I would like to give the feeling of being welcomed to others. I would also like people to know that, if they don't know how to do something, it's fine, and they can get help with it!

What I can contribute to the Scratch Mentoring Committee?
I can make New Scratchers feel welcomed, and if they need help, I can give it to them. I am also extremely active on Scratch, so if someone needs to be mentored, I will see it right away.

How do my credentials show my expertise?
I have been front paged once. It was with my animation, The Dark Storm. I am a good artist and animator. Animation also requires a lot of coding, so I believe I am a pretty good coder! I love teaching, and I think I could still spend time finding New Scratchers to be mentored.

I'm applying again. As I said in my application, I applied before for the Finder position. Now, a couple weeks later, I have become more experienced with Scratch, and I think I could be a mentor. All in all, I've spent about 30 minutes on this application, so it is the best it can be. I hope I'm accepted!
