SB2 to EXE Method

Hello! I found out how to convert a SB2 to EXE. Yes, I found a way to convert Scratch Project 2.0 files into regular, professional looking, game files for Windows. First, see inside your scratch project. Now, goto the top-left corner and click File. Then click download to your computer. Now you have the sb2 file. Goto the SB2 to SWF Converter and select the options of your choice. Once the options are selected, click Convert to SWF. Once downloaded, add an “.swf” to the end of the filename. Next, download the VaySoft SWF to EXE Converter Trial Version here* and install it via installation wizard. Next, open it and click Add files under Embed fonts. Select the SWF file and then select a Executable Output Folder. Un-Check-Mark the SWF file name, then click Convert in the bottom-left corner. Finally you will have your SB2 converted to EXE. I hope this helped!

*I have removed this link as it possibly contained a virus. I did not detect any viruses after a MalwareBytes scan, but that is not very thorough when it comes to some types of viruses. If you do want to go to the website, then go here.

Disclaimer: I no longer approve of using the Vaysoft SWF to EXE converter, there are more efficient and less “virus-y” SWF to EXE converters that exist now.

Lastly, do NOT try to use any links from the reposts of the old version of this post in the forum topic to get to the Vaysoft converter quicker. These links could be EVEN MORE dangerous than the link that I placed above.

So this would do what? let people without scratch run the game as if it were just a json file?

  1. Please no softonic, I suspect it has adware and malware, and Trojan software.
Look here for Google's review: http://www.google.com/safebrowsing/diagnostic?site=softonic.com
    Wow worms too!
Also softonic requires downlaoding ‘Softonic downloader’ with adware.
  2. Ok then
  3. You can use Adobe's software to convert SWF to EXE for free

Edit: Because so many people seem to see this post, here is how to use the Flash projector: Download the Flash projector from here. The last version that works is 11.2, so you can use any version from 10.2 to 11.2. Then extract the executable whose name ends with “sa”, open it, select File → Open and find the converted SWF file, wait for the project to load, and select File → Create Projector… to save it.

Lol. Ik. I used Malware Bytes which is a great malware detecting software right after I downloaded it. Not to worry. It's virus free.

Also. You don't have to download “Softonic Downloader” on this one.

Not exactly, JSON files are Java, where EXE files are standalone Windows executables.

I didn't either. But trust me. I took a 3 hour computer scan and detected nothing suspicious.

+1 Softonic is dangerous, that's where my mum downloads her computer destroyers because someone suggested to install a “CD burner” when she could've used Windows Media Player.

I wouldn't risk it though, Softonic has had thousands of reports of malware, trojans, worms, adware, PUPs etc.

An easier one is procd's compiler. It compiles the project into an exe, together with a player.

It's too risky to download from Softonic. Strangely enough, it has everything you search for (this was ironic of course). Whenever you google something, Softonic appears as one of the first pages and it's too obvious that most of the software downloaded from there are either fake or full of viruses (or both).

The same converter can be found at vaysoft.com, but i'm not sure weather it works or not. EDIT: It works! No need to use Softonic!
