Arg, this is annoying
Anyways, I dropped a thumb drive into this thing:

That's the side of a door which holds it closed
I need to make/create a thing to get it out. Any suggestions?

Maybe take the door off it's hinges, and attempt to shake it out?
Doors are pretty heavy, though, so you may need help with holding / dehinging it.
Uhh, or maybe use a strong magnet to pull it out. Magnets don't harm flashdrives, so it's a safe alternative. I don't know how strong the attraction will be to the magnet, though.

There is literally no way to get it out unless you smash the door violently with a hammer.

Unscrew it.Won't work, forgot to mention there's a whole going down about 2 feet.

The strongest magnet you got, on a string. That's all I can think of. :P

I second “magnet on a string”. Just don't drop the string. Maybe put a weight on the end of it, just in case.
