How do you do it?

To make a link, just put a url on a post, and it will automatically become a link, but if you want it to say something else, click the chain up top^ with your url highlighted.

hmm sorry, it went wrong! it takes you to the scratch homepage like yours, what did I do wrong?

Where it says url=scratch.mit.edu, you have to replace scratch.mit.edu with the address to your own link…and actually all this extra work isn't even necessary, as you can just post the address (without the whole thing above), and the forums will automatically make it into a link for you

- just make sure you include http:// at the beginning!

Three ways you can make a link.

A link on its own (need to start with "http://"):

http://scratch.mit.edu

A link with the URL tag around it:

[url]scratch.mit.edu[/url] = scratch.mit.edu

A link with text for it:

[url=scratch.mit.edu]Scratch[/url] = Scratch
