"Easing" motion and Sound suggestion

Two things that I think would help animators using Scratch:

I'd really like to see some motion blocks that give you the option to ease movement, like on Flash! I think it would make transitions and movement of sprites a lot smoother and is good for things like typography or text scrolling across the screen like credits. I'm not sure if it isn't possible (please tell me why!), but I guess the easing ‘tween’ would be restricted to movement from point A to point B (i.e, in a straight line)?

The second suggestion is to put in a timeline in the sound tab. That's a really bad way to put it, but something like Audacity? It would be helpful for timing something to music, for example, although being able to ‘see’ the sound in the first place on 2.0 is a major improvement from 1.4!

Feedback is very much appreciated
(lol, I know my suggestions wouldn't be so helpful to coders maybe, I use Scratch to practise animating and stuff)

There's kinda a work around, though it's not that well known:
change x by ((targetx - x position) / jump distance)
change y by ((targety - y position) / jump distance)
“jump distance” is a fraction of the distance you go between two points, so JD = 2 would have the sprite move 1/2 the distance to the target position every loop, JD=3 would be 1/3 the distance, and so on.

While this is a great suggestion, and I totally agree that it's a HUGE improvement from 1.4, they don't want it overcrowded with features. After all, who wants an overcomplicated Sound Editor?

Just a bit more complicated wouldn't be bad, though!

Thanks for the ride, Scratch Team and community! Unfortunately, the time has come for me to move on from Scratch, so I'll no longer be using the forums. Thanks again, and farewell!

Not sure if I'm bumping the thread too soon (please tell me if I am) but I have more suggestions:

- I don't see a way to edit old posts and preview new ones on the forums, why is that?
- Have sprite and costumes that can be bigger than the stage (480x360). I mean if you can have part of a sprite hidden off stage, surely you can have one that's bigger than it? I don't like how it auto shrinks things I import. Maybe there could be an upper limit to the size of something imported so you don't have something that's like 1500x1500 pixels?

You can't edit posts as you're a new Scratcher. But the preview button is the green check on the far right above the typing area.

It's been eight years, do you really think they're that desperate for a response?

Also, as this is a list of suggestions, I will report it to be closed.
