I ended up giving up and pressing the restart button.
Using ‘*’ crashes Google Chrome on my computer.

Pshhh. You guys have nothing on me. Chrome was unresponsive for a good 20 seconds, then fizzled to black and the whole thing KPed. Turned back on to this.
