Excluding 3D! and staying on the 2D basis.

I created this topic because I thought, “the best way to find suggestions is to think about what you can't do with Scratch”. So what can't you create with Scratch, and also post what is extremely difficult to program.

in theory everything can be created, although there would obviously be things that are very difficult to program (although if there's too many sprites and scripts it would start to lag (actually i don't know if that's still the case or if it was just a 1.4 thing))

You can't create projects that connect to the internet, or an advanced real-time MMORPG.

You can't create projects that interact with files.

You are capable of programming a functional chat room, but the Scratch Team says it's forbidden to make chat rooms on Scratch.

Actually, just to correct you, safe chat rooms are allowed by the Scratch Team, but not free-for-all ones.
