They're not doing it to be rude; I'm pretty sure if they didn't need it they would restrict you. But this is too keep cloud data as safe as possible, as if it's not safe the ST will probably remove it altogether.

I believe it's 2 to three weeks. You have to take a little test (it's not all that hard) and you'll be a scratcher!
