Is there a good resource for making BBCode gradients here? Or is that a niche that has yet to be filled?If you could make a section about that or a part, that would be really helpful.

This wouldn't be possible to do in a topic, and also I was suprised that they forgot about it.Please post topicsIs there a good resource for making BBCode gradients here? Or is that a niche that has yet to be filled?You created this…

-snip-I didn’t forget, I just didn’t wanna be like “yo, add my tool.”
This wouldn't be possible to do in a topic, and also I was suprised that they forgot about it.
Also, like you said, it’s not a topic. Making gradients (in BBCode, but also generally) requires some understanding of color math that can only really be executed computationally.
That being said, simplistic, high-level run down is this:
To make a gradient, you need text and two colors.
For each letter, known as a character, the goal is to calculate what color that character should be.
To do this, we take the position of the character in the entire text as a percentage, with 0% at the start, 100% at the end, and 50% in the middle, and we use that to interpolate the colors.
Interpolation is the process of smoothing moving between two values. Take red and blue, for example. At 50% between red and blue, there is purple, which is 50% red + 50% blue.
The exact equation is:
value = first + (second - first) * progress
By doing this, we get an interpolated (in-between) color for each character in the text, which we apply through [color] tags.
P.S. I’m glad someone remembers I made that gradient tool.

I do understand colour maths.and.I do know how Interpolation works (in other fields as well as colour), but thanks for taking the time to write an explanation. To other people, I think we should link this tool on the guide anyway.-snip-I didn’t forget, I just didn’t wanna be like “yo, add my tool.”

Interpolation is the process of smoothing moving between two values. Take red and blue, for example. At 50% between red and blue, there is purple, which is 50% red + 50% blue.
The exact equation is:First and second are the colors we previously chose, while progress is the percentage we calculated.value = first + (second - first) * progress
By doing this, we get an interpolated (in-between) color for each character in the text, which we apply through [color] tags.
