Brings me to my next question! Do we just want to have a central merch project and everybody can check in there from time to time to make their respective “merch” – like I'd look out for the forum signature comments, banners would be for Chocolate, etc. I think having a singular project would work best + would better help us keep track of sundrop transactions when people are paying for things. If that's the case, Eva doesn't necessarily need to be the one to share it but it might be easier since pfp's require a lot of back and forth comms :thinking:

As for the actual storyline I was planning that the ghosts (eg: storyline volunteers AND profile personas we create) would occasionally pop in for clues so that's essentially what you're saying! OOH I really like the roleplaying bit for help rather than just being given the clues - if we want to include riddles/a scavenger hunt with the helps of ghosts/all that atmosphere stuff I think it'd be really cool!!

Ooh we do need to decide on a traitor :thinking: I'd honestly love to include a camper but the one problem with that is that it's hard for us to gauge activity. Like someone could be extremely active and then stop participating - esp since campers have no obligation to be really active throughout the session… we can defo ask them before confirming the role but I feel like it might be better to choose a leader (and I don't want campers feeling upset if they weren't chosen yk?) :> idk these are just my thoughts!

Lantern Making Competition
Ok so I was contemplating about this one in particular and here's what I'm thinking! We share an “icon creator” type thing where campers can choose different shapes, colors, backgrounds, fonts, decorations, etc. There'll be certain things that are “locked” and campers will need to buy them using sundrops if they'd like to use them (we can just use the “check username” block thing in the code to make this easier to manage for us )

Once campers design their lantern (they can keep designing new ones) they can click a button on the project to “confirm” and this will take them to a screen with just their lantern and no menu options. Now they'll just take a picture of their lantern and submit it as a remix of the project.

Kind of like the mbcc we'll just create a project for lantern voting where campers can vote for their favorite lantern! The prize would probs just be sundrops but I feel like it's a really fun thing to add ;D We can also add everybody's lanterns on the cover of the voting + in our memory book too ^^ I feel like it'd be cool to get campers to draw their own lanterns but I don't want to discourage anybody who's not really into art yk?

So that's what I'm thinking that people can draw their own lanterns to include in the memory book but not for the contest just to keep things standardized. Instead we'll just have a lot of customizable options so that people can design their own Like Chocolate said earlier, we could also make the lantern they design the one that's used on their banner if they'd like that. Anywayssss <3 Those are my thoughts!

perhaps for the storyline the lanterns could go dark in the middle of a self-care sunday (or the day after or something) and we could have some sort of roleplay activity where campers interview ghosts (storyline volunteers?) about what they saw, and the ghosts could speak in riddles mwehehe…a week after that's shared campers come together to discuss and decide on a final answer for the riddles from ghosts that actually had information~and then with this new information they go on a hunt to find the traitor…which could entail some alibi-searching and eventually finding that traitor in a room of the castle using some sort of magic or something to siphon light from the lanterns and feed it to an overgrown and more-monstrous-then-usual luna moth? that last bit is just an idea that I thought could be cute ^^ we can definitely definitely definitely change it if y'all don't like it, just a thought :)
and for the traitor I agree that a leader could be better :> anyone want to do that? (i'd be fine with doing that, it sounds kind of fun mwahaha)
i'd be happy to write some storyline blurbs down and/or set up the forum!!!

and to be honest the lantern competition sounds absolutely perfect! :0 i'm happy to do art, but um if i'm in charge of the coding it might turn out a liiiiittle disastrous :P

I defo agree we need to spotlight my ghosty friends some more ;D I like incorporating them into the pfp (maybe like in the background or something bwahaha) I also really like the idea of the roleplaying with the ghosts! I know in Gothic, we had character accounts, but I’m not sure how much we’re a fan of that. again that one is hard to gauge because of camper activity

for the traitor, we mentioned something like a red herring, so like I was thinking maybe I could be the red herring (I feel like enough people would definitely suspect me esp with my cabin wars shenanigans and main cabin chaos ;D) and maybe the actual traitor could be one of our storyline volunteers? that would make the most sense

Hmm I feel like the ghosts should just be personas we create so they have an establish tone/vocab/habits so that we have things set in stone when roleplaying happens if that makes sense ^^ At least those are my thoughts <3 I do love the idea of camper customization tho so how about!! During like an event (tbd) we'll come across a stray (insert mascot - ghost, wolf, luna moth, owl, etc.) and we decide to take it in as our “cabin mascot” yk? And then we get a project going where campers can draw it, give it personalities, etc.

Ooh I get what you're saying – the only reason why I suggested just a “top 1” was to make it so that it's not like a “oh wow there were 10 awards and I didn't get one” but more or so just a “oh I could've been second” kind of thing if that makes sense? We can get rid of the voting part of the competition altogether if you'd like :thinking: but honestly since nobody's acc drawing the lanterns it's not going to be a reflection of anybody's art but about how many sundrops they spent on upgrades yk?
