Activtiy: Prompts
Woahh the project looks amazing so far :star_struck: I left some comments and made a few edits to it!

For the prompts, I was thinking maybe we would want to encourage camper interaction as well to help them get to know each other and bond? If that's the case, maybe some of the prompts could be to interact with other crewmates for example? Or we could do that as a requirement for cabin merch if we're planning on that (if we're not doing currency, which from our last discussion of this I think not?)— for pfps, I'd like them to be free so everyone can get them, haha <3

I think the roleplay prompt is a good one for interaction - we could also do some collaborative writing on a smaller scale (just two people, maybe both writing some description or something <3)

WCG Intro

Silvi, one of your mission leaders, beckons you down towards the science lab. A thick steel door glides open smoothly and you step into the lab, full of anticipation. You find yourself surrounded by a vast variety of science equipment, some of which you barely even recognise. A smile lights up your face and you glance at your fellow crewmates in excitement. All this untouched equipment, waiting to be used.
Silvi steps forward and smiles. “Welcome, crewmates. You are Crew Earth. We will be in charge of figuring out how we can use our discoveries from Adrian, Astrophage and more in relation to Earth. Our first task is to determine Erid's atmosphere. Are you ready?”
You nod determinedly, but you know it's going to be a difficult job, with dangerous maneuvers involved. You have to do it, in order to save Earth and Erid.

what do you think? I'm not too sure about the wording for parts of it - like “We will be in charge of figuring out how we can use our discoveries from Adrian, Astrophage and more in relation to Earth” but I wasn't sure how else to word it?

The MBC is looking for the cabins' colour palettes and fonts for each theme! No fixed/specific deadline from what I can see but we should start discussing and solidifying soon. I think we stick with the fonts used in our cabin guide and cabin thumb so far, but for colours what do you guys think?

Alright, then our fonts would be Agrandir in bold/bold + caps for titles and Agrandir in normal font for body paragraphs. As for cabin colours, I'm looking forward to seeing your ideas — maybe we can create moodboards on the thumbnail canva (along with the preexisting ones) for this?

Silvi, I just saw your wcg, it looks amazing! If you wouldn't mind, could you invite me and Marbles to curate/manage? I think it'll just be easier to manage it in general that way <3 Also, I understand that you'll be away this weekend — I hope you'll enjoy yourself! It sounds like fun :> I think you're also quite ahead so maybe me and Marbles will just do some catching up!

Marbles I'm sorry to hear that college was rough, I hope it's better now <3 But you were asking what you could do, and maybe you can add your ideas for the cabin colours and work on setting up your wcg? I believe we have some draft thumbs you could use in the canva document already, but you can create your own if you'd like. Along with that you can start brainstorming for a little in-character storyline intro, something like Silvi's!

For myself, I'll hope to work on setting up my wcg pretty soon over this weekend but for now I'm playing with other possible thumbs. I have a placeholder studio created already, so I'll invite you both soon!

I have a temporary one up in the cabin desc right now, but if Marbles is on board with the QOTD idea we can start brainstorming! So we want to do sort-of phm ones or general ones?

First cabin activity
I think we might just want to do some final checks before deeming it good to go! So far it looks good, just so we can move on to the next activity soon <3

Alright so I've been seeing the other amazing pfps go up so I'd aim to start soon on the pfps but I wanted to get some thoughts first! This is what I'm thinking:

Backgrounds — I'm thinking I could do the backgrounds according to what crew the campers are in? However I'm not so sure about this as I think some other general space-y backgrounds might look good too, and I don't want to limit campers to a background they can't choose. If I go with this crew idea, that would look like:
✦ inside the Hail Mary
✦ Adrian in the background
✦ Earth
If I go with other backgrounds, there would probably be more options but I'm not sure yet!

Main personas — alright, so do you guys have any descriptions of personas that you'd like me to follow? I haven't drawn realistically in a while so I'm still not quite sure on the style—it could end up as chibis too

Accessories — aha so this I'm not sure about as I was thinking if I did something like the eridsona pfp maker the campers could choose in their order what accessories they'd like, but I'm not sure how much I'll draw. Maybe I could do it upon request instead..

Outfit — okay so for this I was thinking if the background was in space to maybe draw a spacesuit?? I've not drawn that before but I can sure try, ahaha. But then again I don't want to limit the campers so maybe I let them choose if they want the spacesuit or not?

In general I do want and hope for the pfps to match up nicely but also have enough individuality, so I'm not sure how much customisation to offer/how much is also possible

whew okay sorry for the long post, but I wanted to maybe set up some stuff to work on over the weekend and the next few days—I'm pretty happy with how progress is going right now and I'll see you guys soon with my newfound FREEDOM o7 now I have to lock in for mathematics :sob:


edit: whoops I forgot about the queries for the storyline — yes, like Marbles said I do plan to involve Rocky in the storyline! (how could I not I love him so much lol) He'll mainly be a character like Grace, so the campers don't have much communication with them but we're like supporting them on the mission.

He'll be introduced in week 2, when we meet Blip A and get the Blip B! Also happy to hear you've both enjoyed the story, when we go deeper into the storyline for maybe later activties/lore that'll be really helpful! Also, just happy to have more phm fans, haha <33

OH I AM SO ON i actually like to have something that sparks engagement with the campers (i too have been enjoying their answers for the previous qotd so far too!) personally i think we can alternate with phm-related questions and general ones so we stick to our theme and also make sure the ones who hasnt watched phm get interested as well

i think it is best if we go with different types of backgrounds? tho i think we can give a variety of backgrounds and let the campers choose what they want! regarding how we can execute your idea, i can roughly understand where you're coming from eris. accessories miight make the pfp look too messy imo, but i think we can leave it up to the campers themselves whether they want it or not! i think spacesuits are appropriate, but to encourage diversity we can ask what kind of colored spacesuits they want!

now for my sona, i'd like to have brown eyes with short and messy black hair. i think that fits my description best lol

Backgrounds - I agree with Marbles about the backgrounds <3 although, we could have a colour for each wcg (we had that in action)
Main personas - My persona would have a pale, freckled face, mid brown wavy hair halfway down my torso (i didn't know how else to put it lol) and green eyes!
Accessories - This could create quite a lot of work, and I don't think it's necessary - less is more!
Outfit - Again, I agree with marbles on the outfit!

Coloured spacesuits are a great idea! But in the case of spacesuits, only the head will be pretty visible, are you guys okay with that? If so, what color would you each like yours to be? (you can give me a hex code or a description of the colour, I'll try to work from there) Or maybe we can make the spacesuit optional as well, but that could lead to the pfps looking messy together… what do you guys think?

I think a collaborative story would be good! We can try and start fitting our projects to our cabin colours once we have decided those (I can always go back and upload new slides for projects where we want to change the design).
I just wondering what exactly are you thinking would be the storyline for this collab story? Would it be Grace and Rocky (and the campers!!) working together to do all the sciency stuff? :3

oooo that sounds like a great idea! we can also improv the scenario with what the campers have come up with in the collab story to incorporate the next plot line! tho idk how exactly we can get campers to be engaged. maybe we can say that to progress the story, they need to complete the collab story or smth? actually come to think of it i have no idea how to expand on the collab story after we meet rocky because the part that follows is just research but i trust our campers will come up with something special! (we can also add in-cabin rewards for the campers if they complete the collab story, so they can be motivated to start too!)
