Alright, let me summarize what we have so far:
This idea does have some potential, but its drawbacks are just too great for it to be viable, and it's too easily exploitable.

I think I'll leave this open for a few days before closing it (which I don't even know how to do lol)

You can close your topic 24 hours after creation.

I wouldn't exactly call 3 weeks “quickly”.
In my experience they take care of it within an hour

Well… not really. Within my 7 months on Scratch, I have only witnessed a few reports that are taken care of within an hour. The longest one took over 3 weeks.

I think we should look at the average reports response time as the median, not the longest time it has taken

I agree that reports need to be seen more but the only real way to do that is to hire more mods, which the ST does not have the funding to do as of now

Yes, I completely agree with that.

Would you mind editing out this part of the original post?

According to my knowledge, 6 processed reported comments = 1 admin message, and 6 admin messages = 1 ban.
Some Scratchers seem to be using this as an official source, but @Paddle2See confirmed earlier in this thread that this is not correct. In general, the number of reports you get, the number of alerts you get, and the number of bans you get are uncorrelated; it all depends on what was reported, what you were alerted for, how frequently you were alerted, etc. There is no set number of reports that leads to an alert, and there is no set number of alerts that leads to a ban.

Alright, done. Thank you for the reminder!

But it would be kinda hard to define “well behaved”

How about scratchers that haven't been hit with bans. If your account is in good standing and not a new scratcher, then you can use the button.

after looking at most of this
I will keep my stance and say still, no support
the report system is as good as is,
people can simply abuse this,
and people are creative at things, similarly to the halo effect.

I might understand why you said that. This is just the type of thing that it's hard for people to understand unless they've experienced it. Then again my ideas may not be the best lol

2. Emergency Report
This would be a separate popup when the report button is pressed. If a Scratcher chooses to Emergency Report, the report will be prioritized by the moderators. However, after Emergency Reporting, the feature goes on cooldown for… 12 hours? 24 hours? Longer? Something like that. (Due to the high ignorance of this part, I had to make it more noticeable… somehow.) In the meantime, they can still file regular reports. I also believe it might be a good idea to prevent new scratchers from accessing this feature.

Support on everything apart from this. I give the Emergency report semi-support. The priority feature is a good idea, although it could be abused even with a cooldown as you suggested. People could just make false reports. If that idea would go ahead in my opinion I think you should only be able to use an emergency report once to three times a month depending on whether the reports are valid or not. I agree with your statement of New scratchers not being able to access the emergency report feature, as it will most likely be used for ‘troll reports’. Hypothetically, if you were to file an Emergency Report, should there be a certain requirement for it? I.e only use it when derogatory comments are made or serious violations like ban evading or filter bypassing are caught?

Good ideas though!

How does one define a well behaved scratcher? Is it no warnings, being active etc…
Can I ask that you elaborate on what a well behaved scratcher is?
