Do the instruments in the Scratch Music Extension only play discrete sounds and round inputs or does it interpolate (i.e. is there a difference in sound between 60, 60.25, 60.5, 60.75, and 61 or would it only recognize these as 60 or 61)? I cannot tell if any differences I am hearing are placebo.

Actually, the main limitation is in your ears. Speakers can play any frequency in a certain range, but the difference in pitch between the notes 60 and 60.25 is so small that it's barely perceptible by humans.

I thought there might have been a difference, but I wanted to know if my ears were playing tricks on me. Additionally, is there a hard limit of 130 (about 14917.24 hz)?

True, although I highly doubt that there's nobody out there who can tell the difference- but cheaper or low-end speakers might just not play the correct note
