Hiii! So there's a lot for us to cover so there's just a few (more like a lot-) of questions that I'd like to just go over to make sure that we're all on the same page. They've been grouped off into categories/tasks that we need to complete so we know where to get started <3

1. I was thinking of kind of using a similar color scheme/aesthetic to this session's theme but I'd love to explore this more + hear what suggestions you two have
2. Or even like the temporary thumnail I have on the Bangsian studio rn – some of those colors could be nice as well! Feel free to create some palettes and send them here or we can make them on a Canva if we're all good with that!

Getting to know you Alana and mysterious co better as well as getting to know the Bangsian campers better on a hopefully deeper level <3 also i'm planning to participate in Nano this session! i always miss it every november so i hope that i can do it this session! and of course cabin planning and watching, creating, suggesting, and seeing all of our cabin ideas come to life!!
3. Do you have any specific ideas you'd like to implement to Bangsian?
I mentioned this in the cabin atmosphere part of my answer in my app, but I would like to try and include the idea of where each of us gets assigned a group of campers to get to know better for a week and then the next week the groups rotate and we get to know the next set of campers and so on and so fourth! (ooo maybe to drive conversation, there could be a different set of get to know you prompts for each group?)
4. Anything exciting that's happening/going to happen in your life?
not really lol, just slumped in studying for tests, but i'm trying to enjoy the little moments here and there since i know that moments don't last forever and you got to learn to cherish them <3 and of course I am absolutely hyped for SWC of course!!
5. What's one goal you have this session?
definitely focusing on quality > quantity this session!

Cabin Aesthetics
1. fs! i think that's a great idea and maybe they could be free originally so that campers are automatically showing cabin spirit!
2. honestly either one is fine with me!! im not the best at coding icon creator things, but if someone else wants to, then we can go for it! for designing/drawing pfps, i would be happy to them, but not sure how my schedule is going to look so we'll have to see, but we have plenty of time until then to think about it ^^
3. when you mentioned lanterns, my initial thought were the lanterns from tangled (i love tangled hehe <3) except of course, instead of a sun as the design symbol object, the campers can pick their own object to include on the lantern! oc pfps also work with me, but i understand that those can be a lot of work to draw so i'm flexible!!

also we should have an aesthetic set :'00 (i could probably create it on my other account if nobody else wants to!)

Cabin Colors
1. i love the temporary thumbnail alana, it's so pretty <33 i think maybe gold/yellow would be good since that's the first color i think of when i think of lanterns. and maybe navy would be good as well? though i think it would be best to work off of canva and go from there?
2. a canva would probably be best first ^^

Cabin Set-Up
1. maybe meta-fi as a sibling/ally? though i'd prefer to finalize these later once the teams are all finalized!
2. i think maybe we could have 2 or 3 wcgs, i know some cabins did 2 wcgs (for example fantasy november ‘25 oh my goodness that was a year ago!)

Ok!! Let's see what Eva thinks about the pfp's - I've honestly never been able to keep up with making pfp's and I don't think that'l be something I can do this session so if one of you two want to head that, that'd be amazing!! If it comes down to coding an icon creator I can defo help with that! I'm also cool with having it be an “order mechanism”

Once Eva confirms I'll make + share the Canva links with you guys - I typically have two: one for projects and the other for studios

1. Yeahhh we can defo wait for teams to finalize before sending anything out! It might be a few days until all teams are finalized so we can brainstorm who we want to ask + go from there so we have first dibs before slots run out ;D Shouldn't be too much of an issue tho!! The only slots that fill up pretty fast is siblings so that's the only one we'll really need to keep in mind <3

2. Ooh ok! I mean personally I've done both and they've honestly been ok either way! I feel like it might also depend on our storyline too. I know one of you mentioned wanting to work in smaller sets of campers (was that you, Chocolate?) in your app so this could be a good way to do that! I also sometimes find that it's easier to add all words into the same word count group so that newer campers aren't as confused.

If this were to be the case, we could just take different shifts throughout the session to update the desc – I typically use an anonymous spreadsheet to add words anyways so all of us could do this at the same time too <33

3. YAYAYYY <3 we can do this based on any special events in the cabin!

4. Yes omg! I was thinking that the ghosts could be free-floating but it'd be super cool to have an animal mascot like a wolf or smth :pleading:

I'm honestly cool with anything <3 One thing we could potentially do is have the pfps be free and than banners, forum signatures, stickers, etc. could be by “purchase” –> maybe we could even tie currency to some storyline activities? I feel like it's a great motivator for people who do want to participate within the session and we could also have a little self-care project with tasks that people can do to earn currency (to kind of promote self-care yk?)

You guys can call me Eva or Aerie, i don’t really care lol~ any the ways I usually inhabit the est time zone but I’m traveling so I’m trapped both on mobile and in bst. I use she/her pronouns, aaand two truths and a lie time :eyes: okay first one: I’ve been fencing for about a year now, two: I own a pet mold named meatball, and three: I’m an enneagram two ;D
2. What are you most looking forward to this session?
to be honest… everything! especially the community though — tctwnw is naturally not very active so I’m excited to see more interest in the storyline and session in general from campers! I also can’t wait for cabin planning as brainstorming is one of my favorite processes ever.
3. Do you have any specific ideas you'd like to implement to Bangsian?
I had an idea that maybe we could have a forum and each camper would keep a fictional journal of everyday based on every storyline update? so kind of like in Xeno-Fi last session where the storyline progressed each day, but this time campers would write their own perspective on it
4. Anything exciting that's happening/going to happen in your life?
actually so much!! I’m on my first international trip right now and I love it SO MUCH!! I’m also starting a new dnd campaign next week hehe~

to be an optimistic and active face in cabin planning before the session, our cabin during the session, and the main cabin throughout it all. not very specific I know but shhh we don’t talk about that

this is a really rough outline and probably not perfect, so we can continue to workshop this together as a team. but i basically just reordered your atmosphere a bit alana and added some combining atmosphere things to make sense. thoughts on this?? feel free to add or edit whatever you'd like to this ^^

OOOH I'M LOVING THESE IDEAS <3 There are definitely different ways we could go about this! Either we could just create a mascot can get campers to name it + build its traits (kind of like the first TCTWNW where the campers built the personality of their pegasus, I believe).

I know I did Boba Pals in nov '24 (https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1090935231/ ) and it was basically just a pet store where each camper could buy their own pet + raise it. We didn't really get to the point of connecting it with currency since that wasn't part of the storyline but I think it'd be cool if campers can use their currency to feed/buy things for their pets. I don't know if that would be too much work to monitor but I think it could be worth considering <33

edit: I've put the Canva link in the desc of my leader app (at the very bottom) – let me know when you've opened it so that I can delete it from there hehe

WOAHHH WAIT literally thats exactly what i was thinking– with the campers naming the mascot themselves– they could also name their lantern as well if they even wanted <3

i like the idea of also adding on traits to the mascot (like maybe a character creator, but mascot creator project? similar to this character creator in adventure march '26! idk i think it'd be cool to incorporate a project similar to this maybeee

ooh i love that idea with the upgrades for the pets. that sounds so cool so like a marketplace? it does seem like a lot to manage, but maybe we can decide later on once we get a gauging of camper activity and how active campers decide to be or not ^^
also this idea seems like the game adopt me on r oblox lol. no clue if either of you have heard or played that game before LOLL

omg what if we came up with a corny sleep slogan for our cabin and left it at the top of our description for the duration of the entire session as a reminder for the campers ;D otherwise if they don't the bangsian ghosts will come haunt the campers (us included) with our slogan and points stolen and something else we can probably think of ahaha

OMGG SELF-CARE SUNDAYS IS SO FUNN I actually had an idea while looking at this! what if each Sunday was festival day for the lantern keepers, a day where they were off duty and required to relax? this actually ties into one of my ideas for banners — perhaps the artists among our cabin (including (co)leaders) could become vendors for the day and offer drawn-to-order ‘stickers’ to place on banners? and we could also do this with the pet upgrades :00 GASPETH MAYBE THE THUMBNAIL COULD CHANGE TO BE ALL DECKED OUT ON SUNDAYS
also for the mascot a luna moth could be cool?

OMG YES- I LOVE THE IDEA OF CHANGING THE THUMBS ON SUNDAY
If we do end up doing the mini themed self-weekly idea, I think that it'd be cool to change the thumb to like a similar theme hehe ;D

THE VENDORS THING AHH- this is honestly so cool and wouldn't require too much coordination from our part since it's the campers doing the trading and whatnot so yesss I love this <3 We kind of did something similar in Fairy Tales: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/973733000 and it honestly turned out sooo cool! It was super low-maintenance and it'd definitely be a great addition to have <33 The only thing we had to monitor that session was currency switching between people but honestly it wasn't too bad since we said that all transactions had to be made on the project

Also tenative cabin war dates are Nov 14 (Saturday) and Nov 29 (Sunday) so we might need to figure something out for the last Sunday :thinking: But given that it's the last Sunday of the month we could also just turn that cabin wars activity into smth fun for the cabin!

i just had an idea! what if for the last cabin wars, we basically have one final challenge kind of like a “final boss battle”? this is really rough, but what if during the second cabin wars, the light from the lanterns darkens and there's like this “darkness” that hovers over the entire society/city plus maybe some other “boss battle-y” things we could think of, and then basically campers have to work together to lift the darkness of the city? we'll have to workshop this later, but maybe we could include a final scavenger hunt? i know that's what we did for Gothic here. we could also include other puzzles for the campers

another idea for cabin wars 2 could be maybe all of us, the lantern keepers or one of us goes on a betrayal spree? and the campers have to try to figure out which one of us is the ‘culprit.’ like maybe including red herrings leading the campers astray? but like i said before, i think some kind of scavenger hunt or “boss battle” as the final challenge would be so cool!

i think maybe just a weekly sleep slogan, since daily might be too short since some campers might not check scratch every day, so giving the campers a sleep slogan per week would probably be best? (if they miss a sleep slogan one day, then it wouldn't be a problem if its weekly)

okay I can draw them out asap so we can see which one we like best!! I think all of them could work but it’s also a pretty big determining factor of our cabin’s overall aesthetic so we’ll see :eyes:
for the symbol the moon is great!! it really does match our cabin vibes hehe — and I’d be happy to go with galleons or sundrops for the currency :) leaning towards sundrops though!! galleons remind me of gringotts bank and I don’t really think that’s the vibe we’re going for here? but all the same it’s really cute anibyftdvbby so idc really!

OMG YAY I’m so glad y’all like the self-care festival!! and vendors would be so fun yay — only question is would we have a little marketplace project for them to sell their wares at in comments, a forum (preferably an entire storyline thread so we don’t clog the forums up too much), or just have them do it in our cabin comments? ooh good to know!! i actually think we especially need a self-care day that week since it’s cabin wars, which is notorious for being sleep-schedule-destroying! I think maybe a self-care sunday geared towards cabin wars would do? like activities that make since with a goal of winning most wars but also making sure campers prioritize mental health :)
