First of all, as always, some context, or why I'm making this.

A while ago, there was a Scratcher who spammed ads every day on very active profiles. Whoever replies telling them to stop, including me (that was before the post about advertising was updated in the Scratch Wiki), they spend days harassing. According to my observation, they have harassed at least 2 more Scratchers after me.
In that scenario, even though we could and would report, that button might seem powerless and slow. And not everyone would want to use the “Contact Us” feature for different reasons. Since I can't be the only one experiencing similar things, here are my suggestions:


1. Make the Report Weight More.
According to my knowledge, 6 processed reported comments = 1 admin message, and 6 admin messages = 1 ban. That means a toxic comment only weights 1/6 as heavy as a project or a studio, although arguably, they are what hurts the most. So my first suggestion would be to make a comment report make more. Something like 3 processed reported comments = 1 admin message, or maybe just 2, or even 1. And I also believe this would only be fair if it applies to genuinely mean comments, chainmail/ads/text art/etc. could retain their weight of 1/6 of an admin message.


2. Emergency Report
This would be a separate popup when the report button is pressed. If a Scratcher chooses to Emergency Report, the report will be prioritized by the moderators. However, after Emergency Reporting, the feature goes on cooldown for… 12 hours? 24 hours? Something like that. In the meantime, they can still file regular reports.


3. Extra
This one isn't necessarily related to my context given, but I believe we should be able to tell the moderators in some way when we're reporting a profile for Ban Evasion or Impersonation. The last time I reported a profile for impersonation, I was sent an admin message for false reporting.

THEY NEED TO ADD EMERGENCY REPORT BUT ADD A ECORD ON YOUR PROFILE OF HOW MANY TIMES IT WAS DONE INSTEAD OF A TIME LIMIT.

Well, that might be true for projects. But according to my experience, comments would sometimes take a lot longer.

I believe you are wrong - so far as the numbers go.

However, the idea of having an “emergency report” which would receive a higher moderation priority is interesting. My fear would be that reporters would eventually move to only using the “emergency report” - since everybody wants results from their reports - thus rendering the feature useless. My other fear is that it would add complexity to the reporting process and perhaps discourage some reporters by asking them to make a value judgement.

Given the nature of the current report system, it is likely that this will be considered as a much needed change. One time, I had a project reported of mine and it gave me the warning, but it didn’t come with a reason which made the take down a little vague and strange. Usually an explanation would be sufficient.

But either from that fact, I agree with what Paddle said and stand by his words.

I say st should pay more attention to reports, my you get bullied, what do you do? Remix remix remix got taken down and they said to remix, therefore, why is it disrespectful? It was exactly why it got reported in my message from s.t.
