Before I get started with the texture art, I need to know whether or not having the textures at 64 by 64 pixels is fine, and if everyone's okay with that.
64x64 textures isn't a problem with big textures being laggier though a 64x64 texture has 4x more pixels to load than 32x32 which is very slow and it can theoretically only store 200k/size^2 pixels which her is 200k/(64*64) which is 200000/4096 which is about 48 textures max compared to 32x32 allowing 192
Should we go with 32 by 32 then?
32x32 or 16x16
I'm going with 32 by 32, expect a project with the textures in it soon.

Textures are taking longer than expected, I have grass and stone done.

Bump is an abbreviation (basically a short version of a word) that means ‘Bring My Post Up’.

Bring
Up
My
Post

That's what the acronym BUMP means.

Holdup I need to think about this again, how many levels are going to be in the game, and how many textures do you think each one may need?

2 because 32 by 32 takes longer than expected, I'm just considering how many textures we might need and whether or not we should change to 16 bit.(Also considering that it's taking me a long time.)

Why is it taking so long? How are you generating the textures?

Guys I found a new technique called DDA Raytracing which basically allows you to make cubes way faster and look way more realistic without much performance cost

It's taking long because I'm trying to nail the 32 by 32 textures, and due to it being larger than I'm used to it's just taking longer. I am going to admit that I haven't been as focused as possible, however I also didn't know any textures besides stone and grass that I should've done, I should be able to make more progress with 16 by 16 textures faster, and I'm making these textures in scratch for your info. I plan to learn how to use the texture converter thingy along with doing some research on 24 bit colors.
