Recently, I've been encountering a weird bug/glitch with my project. Usually, it takes about 15-20 seconds to load. But something made that wait time longer, and now I have to wait 1-2 minutes for it to load. I tried turning my (removed by moderator - please don't name browser extensions) off and it still loads slowly.

Since I haven't updated it in a while, nothing could've made it slower. No scripts, no new costumes, nothing. Even when I opened the project for the first time in MONTHS, it was still very slow. I've since added some new stuff but it wouldn't normally affect the loading time.

My laptop is a Huawei D14, running Windows NT 10.0, using Chrome version 106.0.0.0 to run the project. Not running flash.

To give you scale, I've written this whole post and the project has just finished loading even though I gave it a minute of head start. I have no idea what's happening. If you might know the problem, please tell me. If you don't, have a nice day anyways.

The sb3 file is 20 MB, so it's just a big project, and it needs time to download all the assets.

As I said, a few months ago it loaded really fast. My WiFi speed hasn't changed at all in those months.

Do you know what the file size of the project was before?

I'm pretty sure I have the file for v1.5.5 of my project, the last update I made before I took a long break. It's on my computer though and I'm on my mobile phone so I'll send it tomorrow. But, when I first loaded the project after that long break (I made no changes to the project) it loaded really slow, even though my WiFi is quite fast. Before that long break, v1.5.5 of my project loaded very fast. Seemingly no change, yet the loading times were vastly different.

Do you know when you took a break? If it was long enough, it may have been in the time-frame when the Scratch Team was updating a lot of things on their servers and switching servers to the cloud.

This happens quite often on my device if the project I want to run is very large and contains a lot of code. But the project load time very often depends on the browser / device used. For example, on mobile devices, projects take longer to load because they are interpreted as much larger and it is impossible to load them in the same period of time like on a computer.

I noticed now that you said it took 1-2 minutes to load, it only took me about 15 seconds on ChromeOS, maybe your computer was running some processes (in the background) because there was an update. After all, it is WIndows.
But a Huawei D14 looks like it has some good specs so I'm not sure if there wen't any processes running.
Also, maybe it was Chrome that was making it slow, it is known for being a RAM hog

True, but I've tried running the project a few times over some days and the load time is roughly the same. Unless the processes are running 24/7, that wouldn't make much sense. Chrome is definitely hogging my RAM, but not so much so that it would affect load times by a minute. I've tried running a more demanding app, and it runs just fine, yet the project (that's less demanding) loads really slowly.

Also my break was from March to October the 10th. Quite a long time span, the Scratch Team definitely could've updated the website.

I tried to download my project but It is taking so long and IDK what to do!

Was I the only person who got this loading problem/issue
