You need to remove the square brackets:

https://scratch.mit.edu/scratchr2/static/images/logo_sm.png

As you probably read, you need to add an image url from an accepted image host

assets.scratch.mit.edu is blocked apart from in signatures.
The filter is never clear as to why it was blocked.

The Scratch Team wants people to use third-party image hosts like cubeupload, not assets.scratch.mit.edu.

But if you can't do that, there's apparently a way to use assets that still works, where the path starts with /w/images/ instead of /get_image/.
