I’ve seen a few people do this and I was wondering if it’s not allowed since it’s technically misinformation because scratch and basically the entire internet is banned in North Korea.

As far as i know, you can't get banned if you set your location stat to something that isn't your real location.
You can get maybe banned if you say things like: “OoOh, i'm actually north korean OoOh!”

The Scratch Team doesn't ban users just for setting their location to something false. Antarctica is a common choice for Scratchers who don't want to reveal their actual location.

Well Antarctica is allowed. I'm pretty sure its fine as long as people don't seriously insult/ make fun of people from north Korea

Well your allowed to set your location to North Korea without actually living there cause it’s not like if you set it to North Korea you will teleport there

No, I don't think so, the other day I set my location to Christmas Island as a joke, and did not get banned.

I have my location set to Spain (Since I'm of Spanish heritage) and I live in the US
I also did change my location to Myanmar as a joke once too.

if proper locations was a rule
i would be banned off scratch for lying about being antarctican

No because I set my alternate accounts to random locations (mostly territories with no permanent population) and they turned out fine!

I see no reason why. I am sure Scratch doesn't check your location to make sure you are telling the truth, otherwise, why even ask where you live?

It still shows statistical data though- which I guess skews the results.
