the suggestion ever: user-specific project IDs
20/8/26 edit: ok yall can stop complaining about the title now i changed it
i dunno how to word this
the suggestion here is to change project URLs from /projects/(random jumbled string of numbers)/ to /projects/user/(shorter jumbled string)/
for example, username's first project would be /projects/username/1, username's 10th project would be /projects/username/10/, etc
projects with the same ID but different username would not be the same
the project ID only increments every time the currently logged in user makes a project
projects made before the NGP will also have their URLs changed, but still have their original project ID show up somewhere (projects made after the NGP will not have this legacy project ID that is currently in use)

Support, this seems trivial to implement but the transition will be difficult because going from a flat id system to a tree-like system would require sorting every project into their owners' folder.
When user names change, the folder containing projects can be renamed.
When user names change, the folder containing projects can be renamed.

Support, this would make it shorter so you don't have to type in a billion numbers to get to a project! What if we do this for studios and forum topics too?

The name should be clearer, like “User-specific Project IDs”

The name should be clearer, like “User-specific Project IDs”I agree, “the suggestion ever” does not make sense and does not describe the suggestion.

anyways you'd make the hobby of project id snipes go extinct
no thanks

the st doesnt like id sniping and has explicitly confirmed that sequential ids will be removed in ngp
also this would be an okay suggestion because scratch already supports a similar link format because it existed in older scratch so it wouldnt be hard to implement
