Custom counter issues
A project i am working on uses a counter that isn't using the variable display, it uses clones to show a value. So for example, if you wanted the number 37 to be displayed, it will make two clones and show 37 with costumes. For this counter, i decided to go for an approach that lets the counter show lengths equivalent to the variable being used to give the counter the number it needs to show. When i gave it a test using a script that simulates powers of 10, it was working fine when it displayed the number 1, but when it switched to show 10, it was fine for a small time window before the counter began to act very strangely, the numbers were all being turned into zeros and stacked onto the rightmost clone, whenever the value it was displaying got longer, the stack would be pushed to the right and the clone that wasn't in the stack gets moved into the stack, and it seems to do this bug for the last digit of a number specifically, when i changed the multiplier to 12, the stack would be composed of twos, then fours, then eights, then sixes, then twos again, is there any way to fix this?
Project's not shared by the way. If you want me to share it so you can check i can.

Could you share the project? I'm struggling to understand exactly what the issue is just from your post.

Clones have their own variable content. If you make a variable and set it to 100, the clone will see it as 0.

Your variable ‘My Index” needs to be a “for this sprite only” type of variable.

I remixed your project: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1369816817/
The “am I clone” variable also needed to be a ‘for this sprite’ only variable and only set to true by a clone.
