Anything ending with “html” causes a 403: https://scratch.mit.edu/literallyanythingheckicanevensignitlookmynameisdefnotyarrowhtml These are caused by what I assume to be a configuration error in Scratch's servers.

Heck, even https://scratch.mit.edu/users/html causes a 403!

I tried entering html as a username, expecting an error that says 403 when I enter it or create the account, but it said “Username taken. Try another?”

That's because the account *does* exist, it's just leaving off the trailing slash doesn't work for that specific account.
https://scratch.mit.edu/users/html/
(it's been deleted, so that's why it shows a 404)

Does anyone know what this one is? https://sortinghat.scratch.mit.edu/

For me it just shows a blank page - but it clearly does exist as it doesn't just say “server not found” and actually returns something (or nothing in this case!).

EDIT: I also found this one: http://dbproxy.scratch.mit.edu/ which times out, but actually responds with an HTML timeout page eventually.
EDIT 2: And this one… https://projects-staging.scratch.mit.edu/ and this one: http://pootle.scratch.mit.edu/
ah, im back, now ill be responding to this.

sortinghat.scratch.mit.edu gives me a json download request while I am on an apple device.

the download is an empty json, so no need to link it.
(i gtg so uhh ill find out the rest tommorrow)

If you click through all the warnings it just says “The server at pootle.scratch.mit.edu sent back an error: 503 Service Unavailable” and doesn't show anything useful.

It used to be the Scratch translation site back in the early 2.0 days. They switched to Transifex in 2014 I believe, making this subdomain pointless to keep.

if you type in anything after backpack it gives the same error:
https://backpack.scratch.mit.edu/Litterallyanythingevenanonuser
even after /user/ (with a different error)
https://backpack.scratch.mit.edu/user/Litterallyanythingevenanonuser

after user/ it says {“code”:“MethodNotAllowed”,“message”:“GET is not allowed”}

but if you dont have user/ it says
{“code”:“Forbidden”,“message”:“”}
so yeah its different

https://scratch.mit.edu/services/upload - Shows a blank screen
When reloaded, it no longer shows a blank screen… Instead, it comes up with a 404 error saying, “Whoops! You're creating too many projects in a short time.”, along with a project with small scratch cats being stamped on screen (This has probably been implemented to prevent project spamming with the old endpoint).

I am somewhat unaware, what is this endpoint?

It's the endpoint used by Scratch 1.x to upload projects.

Wait… Found some obscure defunct links:
https://web.archive.org/web/*/https://scratch.mit.edu/services*
This list contains some sort of download links:
https://web.archive.org/web/20170105212238*/http://scratch.mit.edu/services/download/12854276/
https://web.archive.org/web/20170105212208*/http://scratch.mit.edu/services/download/12985896/
https://web.archive.org/web/20170105212229*/http://scratch.mit.edu/services/download/13195254/
https://web.archive.org/web/20200408032743/http://scratch.mit.edu/services/download/958846
They download the sb file of the project link, only that 1.x sb. Trying to use those links now are defunct and lead to a 404. They are 1.x projects.

Can you send the link of the project on the page?
