Should this be handed over to someone else? Last time I saw OP active was in a debate (all debates must be respectful and heated ones get removed so it doesn't go against CG's) studio and that was a year ago.

Definitely! This topic had accumulated a lot of suggestions that the OP didn't add and probably never will (unless if they miraculously break out of their hiatus or something)

We don't know for sure they aren't active. I mean, yeah, they TOTALLY AREN'T ACTIVE, but six months != leaving Scratch, especially for someone who's been here over twelve years.

I'm sure @imfh will see your comment on their profile. The trouble is it might take a really long time. They come around once in a while, but… um… sporadically.

There are also some other earlier comments on @imfh's profile offering to take the topic. But none since those comments above, until you commented eleven days ago. You know what else there hasn't been since those comments? Updates to the directory…

Anyway, I'm not really one to speak and DEFINITELY not one to judge, because it took ages and ages before we gave up the Scratch Workaround Guide to the next one (@zispe). But yeah, these threads can get really stale, really quick. And then stay really stale, really long. I don't have suggestions, but I hope @imfh comes back online soon.

so I'm probably the only person who's interested in what I'm suggesting here, but maybe for the next thread we can also list duplicates or possible duplicates of the main listed threads? that way people can browse similar suggestions and related conversations, which otherwise just get completely lost to time, and hopefully bring back conversation to the main thread… though that may be risky to bet on lol, we could just accidentally support a lot of necroposting

OTOH if the Scratch Team is more on point about closing duplicates (they're already pretty good) then that'll solve that problem, and us accidentally enabling necroposts would put more pressure there and perhaps make the Suggestions forum better altogether. which is the primary goal of every suggestion directory imo

edit: tbh people using the suggestion directory already know to avoid necroposting so it would probably make extremely little difference in terms of moderation load & inadvertently bumping up old topics
